I currently use a 28-200mm and am looking for something inexpensive and telephoto for shooting baseball at Spring Training. Has anyone used a Phoenix or a Samyung? (they make the Phoenix)

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place for this, but I'm desperate! I am in the process of finding a photography for my wedding in July of 2007. Everyone's prices are absolutely outrageous and I'm on a strict budget. All I want is the photgrapher and a copy of a CD with all of the pictures on it. If there are any non-professional or professional photographers out there serving Michigan, please let me know. If you could provide prices and a website if you have any and a way to contact you that would be awesome. Thanks so much!!!!

Any specific advice on obtaining images with a similar look? Obviously, most of this will be done by post-processing with photoshop, but anything else I should look for whilst I'm shooting? What about light setup? What about filters or exposure?

I have a Nikon D50 with a Nikkor 50mm/1.8 lens. The model/hairstyle/set is all prepared appropriate to era.

If you upload a certain photograph to their site, you aren't allowed to use it in any other way, am I correct? Do you think it's worth it?

I'm not a professional, but hope to become one some day. I'm looking into purchasing Quantaray 70-300 mm DI f/4-5.6 Digital Series AF Zoom Lens for Nikon

I don't think the Nikon version of this lens has a macro capabiltiy. Any thoughts?

I don't have a studio. My photo business is a second job to me, because I don't make enough money with that alone. This year has been rough financially for me, and I've only had 5 jobs (mostly weddings). I only had 1 sport job, and I was told by one parent it was because gas prices were so high... most parents didn't want sport pictures from a professional. Gas prices have dropped yet I have not received any calls. Should I give up my business?

Hi,

I'm looking into the possibility of having my own darkroom at home, and I need to know the basics that are necessary. Chemicals (which kind?), enlargers, safety light, paper, etc. etc.. But I don't know where to begin looking for such items because I don't know what all I need, nor do I know the specifics about the items.

Also, would anyone be able to give me a rough estimate as to how much this would cost?

Thanks

Ok, for Christmas my brother bought me studio lights. They are Contico Smith Victor lights; it came with two main lights and a hair light (both main lights have umbrellas) I put them up at Christmas and snapped a few pics. They seemed to wash the person out. I just need some ideas on how to set them up (different lighting effects). If anyone has any ideas on how to do this or a web site that explains it in depth i'd really appreciate it. I'm using these lights for portrait photography, I was a little bummed because I wanted lights that flash but I still love the gift. So I just need a little direction on the best way to use these (do I use my camera flash at all, I have an extended flash) and is there anyway to convert these to a flash kit by buying an adapter or something like that?
Thank you for your help! I really appreciate it!

There is a picture in my office, a photograph, taken of a snowy field, appearing to be a farm. There is a patch of land on the field that is not covered in snow. A group of cattle are standing in this patch. The picture is a series of three photos, but this is the one i am interested in. Where can I find more info on this? I would love a copy for myself
