depends on what size your are printing them is they are monsters there is no cheap way. If you re doing standard paper size you can get ready made frames from wally world with glass and all for cheaper than you can possible do them yourself it is when you get in the sizes above that that you get into more $$$ and more work If you know how to cut matts with a beveled edge and you have the tools to build frames you can get metal frames at frame shops in kits that will change in one half inch or inch increments so you can get as closest to the size you want as possible you by these is sets of twos say two 18 inch and two 12 inch ones and fit them together they come with custom hardware if you can run a table saw and a chop saw or hand miter box then cut your own out of wood and build them any size you want it is difficult to estimate what your time is worth so whether or not they end up "Cheaper" in terms of over all effort is debatable I never count my own time when I frame my work because it is a labor of love and I have precious little money like lots of artists so doing it my self is mandatory good luck with it hope to see your work on the cover of time mag one of these days go for it you will probably do a great job of it and make your work look good

Print the pictures on you home printer at a high resolution, if this does not look good, then you may have to spend some money to have them printed at a photo print center, then buy a cheap frame from a place like Walmart. Thats how I do it anyhow. YOu would run in to some money issues if you really want the good photo prints, but they are worth it in the long run.

You can pick up frames at garage sales pretty cheap. A coat of spray paint will make them look like new.
