I built a statue out of "air-dry clay," but it's drying extremely slow. I need to paint it and gloss it asap, but I can't do that until it is completely dry. You don't have to tell me, because I already know that I should have started earlier, but if you know how I can make my clay dry faster, I will really appreciate it. If I knew how to fire it in a kiln, I would.

There was too much debunking of today's art. There is plenty of great work now and some rubbish, of course, just as in the past.

hi guys, could you please tell me what are the qualities of a good tripod? when all you need to do with a tripod is to hold the camera steady while taking long exposure shots,

so why there all so many complications over this item? and why some tripods are so expensive?

does it really make the difference to have an expensive tripod?

please answer with solid reason

thanks in advance

So I want a cheap professional camera.
I want it to be a good quality camera.
That is once again not going to be that expensive.
I want to do a lot of vacationing, so I want to really...capture the moment.

I am looking for a painting that shows an old man lighting his pipe.

It shows only his face (I believe he wears a hat and has a long beard) and his match lighting his pipe or maybe a cigar (I'm pretty sure it's a pipe).

The light from his match lights up his face wonderfully.

I googled it with no luck (It is not "Old Man Lighting His Pipe - Gideon" and it is not "Old Man Lighting a Pipe - Gerrit Dou").

If you know it, I'd love to know what it's called. I've been looking for it for years.

Thanks.

For example, a yellow colored block reflects more light than a blue colored block. Is there any rule of thumb, or formula or something, that could give me a fraction of some sort describing how a one color reflects more or less than another?
