I was just wondering if anyone could give me a list of font names that I could put my Cyrillic writing into? I've noticed not all of the fonts work. (For example Comic Sans, Century Gothic, Arial and Veranda all do, but I want more fun, more attractive looking ones.)

So...any suggestions?

Thanks for any help!

I know I ask a lot of questions, but will you help me out at least once more? I need to know what the basic art supplies I need are if I want to draw manga, and where I can get them for the best prices. I'm on kind of a tight budget. What I basically need are good quality inking pens with ultra fine points and possibly copic markers, but if there's other stuff I need, please tell me.

...I am creating a sort of opaque patterned mosaic on the inner surface of a clear glass vase, using various colored marbles; is there an adhesive that I can use to apply the marbles onto the inner surface of the vase, so that when the adhesive dries, it will not deter too much from the patterned marble mosaic design???

Thanks in Advance

This fountain pen is BARELY used, when I say BARELY I mean literally for about 2 minutes. lol. Well, I'm just wondering how much could I get for it? It has the box, 7 blue colored ink cartridges, original "instructions" paper, and the ink converter. (which is everything it came with). Some pictures of my pen, and all these things together are below:

It is in GREAT condition. So, how much do you think I can get for it? THANKS!

i have been drawing designs for this guys low budget t-shirt company. i draw them by hand, not on the computer. he tells me the idea he has and i render it. i am doing this on my freetime, and it takes me a little while. he always wants me to change them up and do different things to them after i finish them. i have been charging a flat rate of 100 dollars. four designs that i have done for him i have had to redo them more than once. i feel like i am bein used. should i start charging him hourly? and how much is a rate thats good for me and him? i am almost to the point i am over it and dont want to work for him anymore, i feel like my time drawing is a waste and am reluctant to drawing for people that are like this.

I'm trying to pick a digital camera and all the hype gives me a headache! DSLR, P&S, Raw, Tiff, Jpeg. "amateur," 'prosumer', professional! I got an olympus 5000 as a gift last year and I've won two photo awards; one for nude photography & one for architectural photography. The way people write, you'd think photography is rocket science. Geez. my friend who does covers for fashion magazines said about being a photographer, 'all you need to do is push a button.' I'm looking at a G7 which everybody complains about as not having RAW to the point where it sounds like the biggest sin since Adam & Eve. I can't stand the heavy DSLR cameras. I hear that pro cameras have better components so they'll last for years. I got a film SLR when I was 13 and after 17 years of banging it up through jungles and climbing mountains, it works great. I am on a budget and I'm no into photography to make manufacturer's rich; I do it to take good photos. So can I stick with my G7 P&S choice?

I just spent $40 on photo paper for my photo class, and without even thinking of the sensitivity, i freakin opened the pack and took out all the papers from the package. My room was pretty brightly lit too. The paper looks yellow. Can I still use it, or do I have to spend another butt load of money on more paper?

Warning not a question really.

Ok Im not against it. There are a few occasions I would use it:

1. when my eye sight fades and a diopter/glasses/contacts wont let me anymore

2. if i cant prefocus or do a "focus pull" - so in the event of shooting at speed where the subject wil take a direction unforseen - could be fashion or sports -

3. if i was drunk

4. if im lazy and dont really care about the image

People say why use manual when you have auto focus?

I answer if I spend 2 hours going somewhere, spend an hour setting up lights and maybe props or altering the scene, white balance, measure adjust the light, select the depth and shutter speed (taking into account flash etc) for the correct exposure - after all that why would I let the camera mess it up by using auto focus?

Why would i hand the control of the focus over to the camera?

Is it more artistic than people are?

Does anyone here me?

So I was working on an art peice and decide to soak my brush in water colour paint and than swirl it around in black oil paint. The results were amazing once I painted it onto my canvas. The two paints did not mix but one on the canvas they actually sperated so there were bits of each colour in every section.

Am I the only one that has tried this?

In no way is this intended to provoke another digital vs. film debate.

But.

I subscribe to half a dozen photo magazines (paper ones) which feature both digital and film images.

Right now I'm looking at a photo essay done with a Canon 1Ds Mk2 and L lenses (maybe $15,000 worth of gear).

A couple pages later there's another essay, done with an F100, 24-85 and ISO100 transparency film. A $1000 kit, maybe more if the photog shot a lot of film.

The film images blow the digital into the weeds in terms of detail, colour range, dynamic range (no blown highlights) and the most elusive parameter of all -- realism.

(It's not the technique -- both essays are very well shot.)

As I turn the pages of other mags I see this over and over again.

So here's my question. Has digital lowered the technical standards of photography -- dumbed it down?

I always hear about how a Mac is so much better for Graphic Artists & Designers than a PC - may I ask why? Why is it better?
And why do Macs cost so much? Do you get what you pay for?
I'm curious because this what I'm declaring as my major in school.
