...I am creating a sort of opaque patterned mosaic on the inner surface of a clear glass vase, using various colored marbles; is there an adhesive that I can use to apply the marbles onto the inner surface of the vase, so that when the adhesive dries, it will not deter too much from the patterned marble mosaic design???

Thanks in Advance

Hi:

You can use clear silicone adhesive to glue glass together. I've used this to adhere flat backed glass marbles to window glass and it works really well. It takes a little while to cure, but it makes a waterproof (and safe for fish) seal that you can also use to make aquariums and bird baths.

You can normally find this in the adhesive and glue section of craft stores, but I also found some the other day at a Kmart when I got some brake fluid marketed as RV plastic repair silicone.

I think this should work well for you and you might practice with it a little because you might want to get used to how much to use. When I glue my items together, like the marbles, I sort of squish it around to get good contact.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you need anything else.
