So I was working on an art peice and decide to soak my brush in water colour paint and than swirl it around in black oil paint. The results were amazing once I painted it onto my canvas. The two paints did not mix but one on the canvas they actually sperated so there were bits of each colour in every section.

Am I the only one that has tried this?

Yes, I have done this and it works best on wood panel. Use pine or light woods so you don't have to gesso it. To prevent cracking and pealing, after it drys spray fix it like a drawing for the watercolor, but first prep the wood panel with a few coats of varnish for the oil. Before you start painting use a light sand paper(Number 220) to make the surface ruff. This should give you the proper foundation for the oil to hold on to the wood and the spray to keep the watercolor sittin' pretty on panel. You will also have the wood grain pattern under you painting that adds another layer to you works! If you like this process you should experiment with egg tempera and fresco!

There is this problem with drying but yeah I tried many of these experiments. Usually I take a picture if it is any good or interesting.

I even tried food coloring and tears. My face was the 'canvas'.

It's called marbling and if you've done this on canvas chances are high that it will peel off when it dries!

Marbling works better on paper!

No I haven't tried it but sounds interesting and I will try it.
As for wen it dries to prevent it o crack you always can use a clear varnish sealant that is used for oil pastels.
