My friends says she wants a "real camera" for her birthday. She is going to be going to photography school next year. She doesn't want a normal digital camera. She wants one that professional protographers use. ..I have no idea what this is- but some of her friends and I are looking into getting one big present for her and this might be it. Can you tell me more about "real cameras?" Also, where can I get a good one with excellent color quality?

i took a picture recently that i am trying to edit. the subject is behind a wire fence (which is what i am trying to remove). i think that it is possible to do because the fence is so out of focus that all of the material behind it is visible, it is just darkened by the fence. please, step by step answers. thanks

I want to get some decent pictures of the lunar eclipse on Monday night / Tuesday morning. I have a DSLR (EOS Rebel XT), a tripod, a 100-300mm IS lens and a lens hood so i think i'm set as far as equipment goes.

I know that the moon moves through the sky at a fairly good clip. Will the lens' image stabilization help to compensate for this? What is the maximum exposure time i should use to get in enough light without the motion being a factor?

Thanks.

I have a new digital camera, it takes great photos in good light but in my apt at night it makes it look like a cave. Anyone know how i can spend maybe $10 at walmart and get good lighting? My current idea is to take a stand I already have, attach a white floodlight that faces a diffusing surface, something refractive like a large sheet of white card stock, or silver cardstock. Anyone have any other/better ideas?

i live in a foreign country where i mostly understand the language. but my art teacher (who doesnt speak english) tries to teach me how to do that thing when you look at a still life (not drawn) and measure it and then draw it on your paper. its that thing that you see in the cartoons when they use there thumb and squint. my teacher says something like the length is the same as the width or something like that. and that i have to measure- i dont get it!!

if it helps: when she tries to explain it to me she usually puts a cloth as a background with a half open pot with fruit next to a little tiny pot with a long handle. i have to do it as a pencil or a charcoal drawing

please explain to me how to do it!!!!
if you need more details, because i dont know what else to write, write it in your answers(along with your answers)

When I had visited the CM Russell gallery in Great Falls, Montana, several years ago, there was a specific painting I would like to find. I had originally thought it was called "moving day" and that it was painted by CM Russell but I've searched it online and can't find the exact one. It was a painting of a Native American woman seated on a horse with a travois and looking over the plains, I think there was a river and a maybe another woman on a horse with travois. The look on her face was priceless...it really showed the exasperation of moving day. Can you tell me the actual painter and name of the painting or where it can be found, online? I've already looked at the CM Russell Gallery online and google searched. I did find one similar by C M Russell but was not the exact one.
