I'm entering college, and I have all colored items

(even my underwear)

As long as none of the clothes that are colored aren't new they should be fine. The pic is fine.

Sure you can! But you won't like the results.
Even if no color bleeds onto the white socks, they will become dingy [ grayish ]. Save them until you have a load of whites.
