Wow. Good question. That would be a dream come true for me! I'd go for an ethereal kind of look I think....
I'd put wallpaper on the walls - in varying pastelly shades with a light metallic silver design (there are so many cool wallpapers coming out these days).
I'd open up the office with more windows - I'd paint the window frames white, and make sure that the windows are windows that can be opened to allow fresh air flow. I like palladian windows.
I'd put carpet in - a light beige tone, because with floorboards it might be a little cold on the feet in winter. Then I would get some long flowing curtains, in an almost transparent kind of material. I dont know if i'd go for white, or go for a *light* bronzy colour so that when the light shines through, it will give the room a nice soft orangey glow.
Then, I would give everybody bigger desks, and extra storage options like shelving and cupboards because there is nothing worse than having not having enough space. And i'd make the monitors of their computers come out of desks, so that when your computer is turned off it is hidden! You gotta have the latest technology for the office. The lunch room should also be re-designed, with marble benchtops, new appliances, a plasma tv, couches etc.
I'd also put couches through out the office- white, fluffy sectional couches, and ottomans (im in LOVE with ottomans!). I'd also put in heaps of plants to brighten up the room. Id also go shopping at antique stores to find cute round coffee tables (made of iron) to put with the couches. I'd also accessorize the office with artwork or photos of everyone out at a staff party on the walls. I would want to make everybody at work feel as comfortable as possible so I would encourage them to bring in photos of them and their familes and friends too. If possible, I would also build an outdoor deck around the whole building, with sliding doors leading onto the deck so that on breaks we can all go outside in the summer and enjoy the breeze :)
