It's not really called 'Nighthawks', although that is the common name given to it. Edward Hopper's very famous painting is actually called 'Nighthawks At The Diner.' This is the title given to it by the artist himself.

The painting in question is indeed named "Nighthawks" and is by Edward Hopper. It has been seen in many hollywood productions the diner scene is indeed compelling.
