I built a statue out of "air-dry clay," but it's drying extremely slow. I need to paint it and gloss it asap, but I can't do that until it is completely dry. You don't have to tell me, because I already know that I should have started earlier, but if you know how I can make my clay dry faster, I will really appreciate it. If I knew how to fire it in a kiln, I would.

A fan is the best quick solution - set the clay in a corner (so the air swirls around it) and blow the air past it. That is safer than one alternative which is putting it in a warm (200F) oven although a convection oven would be interesting if you have one.
