I am looking to start a portrait studio. I will be taking pictures of families and children/babies. Maybe even senior pictures. I have a 8mp SLR Canon Digital Rebel XT. Is this good enough to start out with? Also, I read that the Tamron 90mm macro lens is good for portraits. Is this true and what other lens will I need? Will I need the following things and if so what kind do you recommend: studio lamps/lights, bounce cards, light reader/meter? Is there anything I'm leaving out? As for backdrops. I'm thinking of having my white background be the kind where the wall curves as it meets the floor..is there a certain name for this? Should I also get a backdrop system for muslins? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

Our little girl Trinity passed away on 4-30-07. She had a rare form of leukemia. I would like to have a photo of her changed, to add angel wings on her, and her sitting in the clouds. Does anyone know where I could have this done? Or a program I could purchase that I could do it. I'm not the best when it comes to computers, so the more simple the better. Thank you so much.

I have conceived of an idea for an insence burner, where the incense burns upside down inside a top & bottom-opened glass vase; the top is covered, save for a small hole. The incense is inserted into a small key ring (Like what people have on their keys), is lit, placed into the small hole, down into the vase, and is suspended by the key ring; a shot glass is placed over the key ring, to seal the vase on the top. The bottom of the vase is upheld about 2 inches from the bottom of a large bowel. When the smoke builds up in the vase, it begins to pour out from the bottom of the vase, and fills the bowel (providing the surrounding air is still).

The effect is quite striking, as it looks like an ethreal fog of smoke has filled the bowl (I also have a light shining up from the bottom of the bowl); however, the smoke dissapates much too rapidly, and the effect is not a strong as it could be.

Anyone know where I can find incense that produces a heavier smoke, if there is such a thing?

does any one know of a contact for her to use her art to put onto material for dress making. her art is dinamic and very modern. she painted with oils and accrelics and it can be used as patterns to be printed on any material for dress making or curtains or table cloths or for exclusive wall hangings or for large modern paintings for large business offices.

I've been looking into painting murals on walls in private households. A neighbor of mine had mentioned if I could paint Winnie the Pooh or maybe Elmo in his son's room, and that got me to thinking. Since they are copyrighted, would I be sued for making money off of painting a mural of a copyrighted design/character, even if it's not in a public area?

I have been a photographer for years. I have used many different aspects to pisture the human form in
my works. I have many quite inspiring pics that I took of people in various stages of dress and undress. Some people think that my work is Porn.
I do not show my work to anyone online and I don't publish either. How do you feel about nudes in art and what it means to you and when does it become porn? I do have some striking poses of men and women in love showing their intermost feelins for each other.

I look at his work and all I see is 'fast-food' art, with 'creations' copied from techniques developed by the advertising industry. How can one of his 'paintigs' be worth the same as a Dali, a Magritte or a Picasso?

Ok, I saw that you can add people to other pictures, like photoshopping them in. I can not figure out how to do it. Does anyone know how to do that.

Most banks and check cashing places use recycled notes. What I need, for an arts project is (NEW) one-dollar bills. Lots of them.
