I'm looking for a website that sells inexpensive armor for costumes, LARP, etc. (but something that looks real, not plastic).

Unpaid model is clothed. Artists depicts without clothes. Ethical?
Are models consenting to whatever representation artist presents (perhaps unknowingly)? Fine Art question.

I'm just curious if anyone has ever used any 'non-name-brand' paints before, and what was your experience with them?
When I say non name brand I mean brands that are not seen in stores or if they are they are really REEEEALLY cheap. I tend to only stick with the higher end paints(and use only archival materials) because I would like my paintings to stick around a while, you know?
I ran across a website that sells 'Venus' oil, watercolor and acrylic paints for like 2.50 a tube. And they have some good colors but I am cautious because I have never heard of that brand before. I even looked it up and can't find anything about them or anyone who has used them, but I'm new here (and loving it!!! You guys are awesome!!!) and thought maybe someone here has used them?
Artists used to mix their own paints, they may have had their formulas, and todays paints are made to certain standards (which have to pass certain tests)-- I mean, could they be all that bad? I had to ask!

... I knew the kebab was bad straight away but I still ate it. Minutes later if felt queasy & started to what is technically known as spewing from both ends. I collapsed in a heap on the steps in front of the cenotaph in a river of my own vomit, blood & shite. Just as this happened a judge from the Turner Prize walked passed & pinned a badge on me. I have now made it to the finals and stand a reasonable chance of winning the £50,000 prize money. However they have told me that I can't move or the 'art' will be runined & be disqualifiedfrom the competition. I am now in urgent need of medical attention.

What should I do?
Fame, glory & riches or comfy hospital bed?

I have seen some obviously good pieces on ebay but many of them seem a little digitalized. The reason I say it looks digitalized is because most of the time they only offer one low resoultion picture of the piece. If I was going to sell a piece of art, I would offer at least a dozen pictures; which included at least a few macro shots. It seems common sense. The problem is I am tempted by some of these prices. Any tips? Please, no responces by people who just support ebay.

Two paintings to the same man. Yeah, I'm bragging a little but It’s nice whenever artists get validation for their efforts. I didn't get rich from the sale and will still have to go to work in the morning.

But still ....................... cool!!!!!!!!!!

The first one, ‘Quagmire’, has always been one of my favorites and was painted during Project Greenlight. I’ve actually already sold it once but traded several other paintings to the collector to get it back.

The second one, ‘Collecting Samples’, I consider silly fluff, just something I slapped on canvas because I wasn’t in the mood to do anything serious.

Here is a link to them if you're interested: (click on the photo to enlarge them)
