Help! I need to quickly dry up my moulded plaster of paris blocks so I can start working on these. At the moment they're soft and almost peel away like clay. What do I do? Put them in the microwave? Sun dry them? (its winter in australia)

i have two very vibrant colourful paintings (they could be oil) that i have no knowledge about. 1 has a a kind of island setting with black characters climbing palm trees and the other is a black boy fishing on a boat. They belonged to my grandmother who has passed, therefore leaving me unable to ask wher they came from.

If a man told you he was a professional photographer, showed you his credentials, and asked you to pose for him in the nude,.. would you? If so, what would you expect in return, if anything. If not, could he say or do anything to change your mind? What would it take to get you to do it?

I'm quite good at drawing, but am rubbish when it comes to using paints. However, I want to try my hand at a painting to present to my best friend.

I'd like to do it a canvas, but wondered what paint would be best to use - bearing in mind that I'm relatively new to painting, and that the peice of work I wish to create will adopt a 'cartoon' style (think Powerpuff Girls)?

There are different kinds of magic acts performed by magicians: from coin disappearing, pulling a rabbit/strips of cloth from the hat, card tricks, knot untanglement, you name it.
but what makes me wonder is people say those acts are just illusions and tricks performed by them..but how do you explain acts like levitation, disappearing of a huge object and making ashmarks on own palm but the marks also appear on the audience palm even though her fist was clenched?
are all these fake or real?

This artist spent his whole life to pursuit the art, just as many typical artists stories, the fine art is not for making living but just for hobby. Well, how you think about his work?

I am planning to get a tattoo in November. It will be the kanji symbols for "Faith", "Hope" and "Love". I am looking for information on finding the proper symbols. I've been looking online for a while now and I've seen numerous different symbols, some with one character, some with 2. I would really appreciate it if anyone with knowledge on the subject of Kanji could help point my in the direction of some good resources...
