I live in San Diego, and we don't have quite as much going on in film as they do in LA. Would I be better off driving two hours to LA to audition for an agent there, or will agents in San Diego be able to book film auditions outside of the city?

Hi guys,my name is Hugh Elvis Crumlish,I am 19 years old.My dream is to be a Movie Actor.
I have enrolled on a course in First Diploma in Performing,it is starting in September.I heard that can start my acting career ?I am just puzzeled right now.I have been on a movie set with Elijah Wood,I was a background Artist!. Unfourtunately,I left the set,while the other cast were at lunch.I also heard about SAG card? I just don't know how to start of my career in movie acting?It Really is my dream.Its what I want to do,Its in my Heart and Soul. I was only an extra once,but it was very nice although,I was nervous,so I had to leave.Please guys help me+send me in your information relating to getting into Movie Acting/showbusiness. I live in a small, rural midwestern town that is rich in "Old West" type history and has a lot of neat turn-of-the-century buildings. I am working with the local businesses to get exposure and recognition. Does anyone know I can get connected with location scouts that might be looking for a backdrop such as this for movies, catalog shoots, etc? Is there a place online where you can register your town/location and post photos so that scouts can access this information? THANKS!

I've been trying so hard to find a website that helps people audition and be an actor/actress...

The only website i've seen is H.A. (Hollywood Auditions) which i've heard is a scam.

That's why i want to find a new website, so i would know if there is an upcoming audition.

preferably the website does VTR auditions...

I saw it with Idina Menzel- her performance and the whole cast's was flooring but I was kinda let down by the whole musical... I was told it was the most amazing thing and whatever but when I saw it I was not very inspired..

Ok, I really would like an unbiased view as to what acting schools in Burbank or the area are the best. I have asked many people, and for obvious reasons, they always claim that where then attend is the best, afterall, who wants to think that there are missing out on something that could be better. I realize that with acting, what works for one person, might not work for another, but in terms of competence, what acting schools are good,and what ones arent even worth checking out? Thanks

I've been asking about a good school for theatre for a while now and have my eyes set on U.Penn (mailny because I have relatives who work in the financial aid department). I tried looking on the schools website to looke up somemore information but for some reason I'm coming up with no results. I've seen a lot of asian movies, but one thing that striked me most is that I found japanese horror movies so good and koreans are very very well in comedy-love story. Are these talents in producing movies has something to do with their culture, traditions, religions etc.
