I live in San Jose, CA and my son would like to go into acting/modeling but we cannot find a honest agent can anyone recommend any, and one who doesn't ask for money up front.

It is difficult to find an honest modeling agent, unless you live in New York, you probably won't find one.
Never pay a modeling agency!

First of all, it's great that you know not to give anyone money up front. Those people are always scammers. Go to SAG.org On the right on the resources drop down list, select agent information and you'll be able to find "Find a SAG franchised agent" They have a specific section for agents in San Francisco which is probably the closest you're going to get to San jose, but that's not too terrible considering some people don't have any legitimate agents in their state! Send them each a head shot and 3/4 body shot of your son along with a cover letter stating that you're seeking representation for modeling, theatrical, etc. Good luck!
