From what I know , they will be persecuted and ostracized.
Just to share a personal experience.
Years ago, I had a Bible study leader who was an ex-Muslim.
He was badly persecuted by his family. He was a very good leader and knows the Bible very well.
A few related qns are :
1) Does Allah give humans a freedom to choose whether to belief in Him ?
2) If no, why ? Then we are not humans , but robots with no choice but to obey.
3) If yes, why are former Muslims being persecuted when they convert to another faith ?
That contradicts the fact that Allah gave man freedom of choice, which should include freedom to reject Him after believing and finding that it is not really what the person wanted.
4) Which verses in the Quran said they should be persecuted ?
