They were joking around about a new version of Oklahoma, having to do with Jud and Curly, and here's the idea, Broklahoma. Personally I find it sick, but will admit a little funny, what do you think? Don't worry either it was just a joke and was never put on, although the show did include a skull(don't ask, unless you want to)

My little sis recently auditioned for a part in the play Seussical at a community theater and she didn't do her best singing(piano was dead and she forgot the tune), but did a marvelous job with reading and using expression. What are the chances she made it?

Serious replies only, please. I am interested in doing cartoon voice work. I know it's really rare to get in on a show from the start. I'm expecting to have to start somewhere, and work my way up. Plus, I'm not well-trained, so even the voices I do need tutoring, etc. What can I do to get started, and what's the best way to practice/train a voice for flexibility and consistency? Also, what's the best way to learn how to sound authentic with non-native accents?

Because several people do this, and it's what gives them the part! However, I've also read and been told that dressing the part is unprofessional. I mean, I have a few auditions comeing up and I have no idea if I SHOULD or SHOULDN'T dress the parts I REALLY want!

I'm sweeping up backstage and this actor throws a diet coke tin in front of my broom. I told him if he does it again, i'll give him a Glasgow Kiss. He said "Sounds lovely, can't wait". Who will go my bail?

The local community theater is performing these three plays this weekend. (One Thursday, one Friday, and one Saturday.) We're not too familiar with Shakespeare and want to enjoy and understand and follow the play we see. So, for someone with a limited knowledge of Shakespeare, which will we understand and appreciate the most? (We can only pick one!)

I want to audition for "Fame" at a theater nearby. I have to prepare a one-minute monologue and song. The parts I am interested in are:
SERENA KATZ
MABEL WASHINGTON
CHORUS (only if I can't get anything else, of course)
I know to get the parts I REALLY want, I will need to have a REALLY good song and a REALLY good monologue. Does anyone have any monologues I could use? What about songs? Well, actually, I already HAVE a list of songs I should consider. Tell me which one you would recommend, please!
SONGS I'M BEST (AS IN MY SINGING COACH TRAINED WITH ME) AT
My Favorite Things (from the Sound of Music)
Over the Rainbow (from The Wizard of Oz)
Tomorrow (from Annie)*
Just around the Riverbend (from Pochahontas)
Memory (from Cats)
My Heart Will Go On (from The Titanic)
A Whole New World (from Aladdin)
L-O-V-E (various artists, can be heard in The Parent Trap)
OTHER SONGS I ENJOY SINGING
Chim-Chim-Cher-ee (from Mary Poppins)
Reflection (from Mulan)
