I wrote this poem when I was 11. Please honestly tell me what you think.

It runs, it races, it rushes,
It flings, it flies, it flushes,
It trickles, it churns, it tosses,
It carries, it turns, it crosses,
It comes, it crackles, it goes,
It rings, it dives, it flows,
It bubbles, it babbles, it cackles,
It barries, it grows, it sparkles,
Th little, clear blue brook.

This poem was written at a sad time in my life, when I lost my Mother to a massive heart attack.
MOM
You were always there in every way
When your children needed you.
You always tried to cheer us up
When we were feeling blue.
When we were feeling down and out
You always had a smile
And when you offered a helping hand
You'd go that extra mile.
Your smiling face is one of the things
We all will surely miss
But every one of us know
That yuo're in Heavenly Bliss.
God called you home that Friday night
Because he needed you
He knew your work here on this earth
Was now fianlly through.
We'll miss you Mom but we know
It won't be very long
That we'll meet again in Heaven
To join you in Praise and Song.

In Loving Memory of my Mom

Thai guy chef.
Chalemchat Tangjariyapoon.
When of Nam Prik Pao he made.
Entertained a police raid.
For three hours the road,
to the public was closed.
A copper with big pot,
said" this pot is fair cop"'.
Drove of with the lot.
To Scot Yard cop shop.
Crackers following behinds.

SEE

She stands alone
in a crowded room
No one can see the pain
Which inside her
Seems to loom

She goes back home
And hides in fear
And crawls behind
Her every tear

She leaves her shame
Way down inside
Where she knows
It all can hide

The teachers always
see the marks
But never question
The excuse of parks

They’ve seen the signs
They’ve seen her cry
But never think
There’s something behind

They ignore the scrapes
Bruised arms and legs
And think nothing of
Excuses she’s made

Two days later
An empty seat
No one thinks
Of the evil defeat

An unmarked grave
For her final bed
You’d think they would have realized then.

I have looked everywhere for an analysis on this poem, but I still did not understand. I want to know what the central message of this poem is. Is the writer of this poem trying to tell the reader of how beautiful Helen was? Was Poe referring to "Helen" as the actual "Helen of Troy" or "Helen" as another woman? I don't understand!

sonnet, by the verve, from the album urban hymns...

My friend and me
My friend and me
Looking through her red box of memories
Looking through her red box of memories
Faded I'm sure
Faded I'm sure
But love seems to stick in her veins you know
But love seems to stick in her veins you know

Yes, there's love if you want it

Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
Yes, there's love if you want it
Yes, there's love if you want it
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord
Yes, there's love if you want it
My lord
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord

My lord
Why can't you see

That nature has it's way of warning me

Eyes open wide
Why can't you see
Looking at the heavens with a tear in my eye
That nature has it's way of warning me

Eyes open wide
Yes, there's love if you want it
Looking at the heavens with a tear in my eye
Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord

Yes, there's love if you want it

Don't sound like no sonnet, my lord

My heart will always bear your name
No matter where I go,
And years will pass me by yet still
My love will always grow..

Along with every breath I make
I wish for your embrace,
Or just to gently place my hands
On your angelic face..

Right from the very day we met
I knew inside you'll be,
The girl who will complete my life
And love no one but me..

Your gentle touch, your sweet caress
Your most endearing eyes,
Are all the fills my soul with bliss
That goes beyond the skies..

More than the time I shall exist
My songs for you will play,
Until the stars all cease to burn
My love for you will stay..

And little drops of rain that kiss
The earth may fall no more,
But until then I'll treasure you
And lovingly adore..

Great as the kings of legends told
My words will never break,
And soon before your eyes unfold
A vow that I will make..

Dreams don't come true, or so I thought
But then you proved me wrong,
For I have always dreamed of you
And then you came along..

And so my sweetheart, look at me
And let me hold your hands,
I swear to love you all my life
Until forever ends..

Let's take this journey far across
Where ocean meets the sky,
I'll hold you close, I wont let go
I'll never say goodbye..

Even when the worst trials come
I'll stand and make it through,
And tell the world they can not take
Away my love for you..

Now and for always you will be
The love I wish to yell,
You are the greatest gift I had
My ever dearest Rachel..

if i were to write a found poem using a list of things, such as a to-do list/table of contents/songs on a cd...am i allowed to write the things out of order or do i have to keep it in the order that is originally presented.

for example, if my list was:

grocery shopping
manicure and pedicure
laundry
dog food
post office

can my found poem be:

laundry post
office dog
food manicure
and
pedicure
grocery
shopping

it's a poor example but i hope you get the gist of what i'm saying...THANKS

Well, we will see.
Here goes.

As my life draws closer still
To a time of endless rest.
It's time to try a new suit on,
Just to see if it will fit.

The suit I've had for many years,
Was the writing of my rhymes.
This new suit seems to scratch me some.
A problem I wish to solve.

My mind still thinks in rhyming words,
That makes it hard to do.
But if I try this just enough,
It might make Twilight smile.

or maybe grin a little.

This is one I wrote a couple of weeks ago. I'd like to know what y'all think.

The Chess Game

A small, off-white piece moves first,
Advancing on the dark black army,
Hinting at a bigger plan.
The black army moves,
Responding to the sly movements
Of the creamy other player.
Within a few moves,
The obstacles have been removed,
Leaving the heart of the game exposed.
Black takes advantage, moving in,
Wounding the rest of my white army.
I protect the king with all I have left,
But it’s too late—I’ve given you my white king.
Your move.

I touch the curtain, and what's left of day
Writes longitudes across your bedroom wall:
The room as a cartographer's display
Of vectors and projection, where we're small

And plotable. I wonder if someone
Here before me would notice the same thing
And think about its transience. The sun
Amost behind the hospital now, nestling

Down in the orange litter of those cranes
That almost spell out letters. But I'm stuck
If I can read them. All the weather-vanes
Point different ways. The unexpected dark

Wraps its magnetic field around the Earth.
You draw my flesh. See. You are my true North.

Just Thought That You Should Know

A.Z. I’m so much drawn to you
and dream of you each night
I swore I got to touch you
on one celestial flight

I know you were responding
when you felt breath upon your ear
and heard my silent whispers
“Thomas, I am here”

Your sighed a sigh of happiness
your lips began to curl
I whispered in your ear once more
“Thomas, you are my world”

I felt I had to say this
though I know not how you feel
It just may be I’ll suffer alone
in dreams played so surreal

No matter who you get with
or the places you may go
remember my love’s true to you
just thought that you should know...

Blessed Rai’

Darkness calls upon me
to every naughty thought
of crime, hate, mystery, murder
all of which I’m not

The deepest side of darkness
of which I’m quite fond of
Is that of earthly magic
healing sick and love

My hole deeper than others
buried beyond beliefs
No mortal can not ever
dig deep enough to me

I possess no powers and
never claimed to be
a higher source among you all
nor in society

Darkness is my best friend
no need to carry light
for I know many others wronged
yet, others see it right

Be pierced my hands at end
but, only by bullets way
100,000 years from now
most worldly folk will say

Blessed Rai’

All the Very Best, A H Shadow Rai'

You've been with us,
For two whole years,
Though it seems that,
It's more than two.

A great teacher,
You are to us,
Never did we have,
A dull day with you.

We expect the unexpected,
In every lesson you teach,
'Cause there's always something new,
And unpredictable you do.

You made the subject interesting,
Enjoyable and fun,
We learned to love it more,
As the days passed by.

Not only a teacher,
You are to us,
But a wonderful friend,
To cherish forever.

You know how we feel,
You understand us well,
That's why we really,
Want you to stay.

This poem was written,
Especially for you,
From the bottom of my heart,
I say "thank you".

I'm just writing...And expressing the moment...

"Holiday"

When winter summers,
Peaks from the abyss,
Laughing angels,
Mocking memories,
Listing in dreams.
How slowly comes the night,
As you walk away,
Finding yourself,
In the shadows.
Will the slip,
Curtain the miss,
Punished promises,
Within your fist.
Holiday,
Blessed Holiday,
Come at last,
Waits forever,
Future in the past.
Tried by winter's,
Blush,
Tears of summer's,
Crush,
Beautiful Holiday.

I feel like a queen when I’m in the spotlight,
Everybody watching me,
Day and night
I’m the center of attention,
It’s like I’m the object of an auction
But then, suddenly, the spotlight’s gone,
Away, away, it goes on its own
And now I’m the one to watch from outside,
I’m all alone; set aside
And in the darkness of this endless pit,
I must admit,
I feel like I was frostbit
I feel so lonesome,
Someone with little or no wisdom,
Killed by boredom
And even to this day,
I feel so incomplete
Even to this day,
I seek for popularity
I guess I’ll never learn.

That's just a poem I made right now, because that's how I feel right now. Personally, I don't think it's good at all; it's somehow lacking. But I was wondering what you think of it. Please be honest. What do you think? Thank you for answering.

I need help breaking down this poem for its meaning, I hope someone can help because I cant ask the writer until next week. (Poem was written by my bf in the Army)

Lovely premonitions travels within my mind with no opposition
Intellectually interpreted and constructed from what we already have
Yet captivating captious motives have arrived, not from my behalf
Purgatory is where i stand, although my soul feels licit
Don't feel ligature when it comes to me; irregular it seems
This dramatic drama is ravaging my dreams; a drawback indeed
Distinctive distinction extinguish the disturbance within
although I love you, I'm willing to be your best friend.

Darkness Is My Ally

The darkness is my greatest friend,
An ally tried and true.
It holds me tight and won't let go,
No matter what I do.

It lets me hear the world around,
And yes, I still can feel.
Though darkness is an awesome force,
My life it cannot steal.

We are conjoined, and cannot part,
The darkness and my strife.
It may consume my very sight,
But will not take my life.

For when I'm gone the darkness dies,
I'll dwell in heaven's light.
It's then I'm sure that I will see,
My ally's final flight.

For now we two are making friends,
We are two of a kind.
We'll be together on this earth,
As long as breath I find.
