if i were to write a found poem using a list of things, such as a to-do list/table of contents/songs on a cd...am i allowed to write the things out of order or do i have to keep it in the order that is originally presented.

for example, if my list was:

grocery shopping
manicure and pedicure
laundry
dog food
post office

can my found poem be:

laundry post
office dog
food manicure
and
pedicure
grocery
shopping

it's a poor example but i hope you get the gist of what i'm saying...THANKS

okay to make things more clear - there is a category of poetry called "found poetry," so i'm not trying to be inventive and create a new poetry genre here lols

i'm trying to do an assignment and i need some clarification on the strictly speaking rules of found poetry. thanks.

you're a imaginitive writing instructor, yet you do not understand Jack approximately writing poetry. you have a narrowminded suggestions-set that doesn't paintings interior the actual international. interior the 1000's of years of the English language, there is not any word that has not been used, and that makes each and everything cliche`. If I had had somebody such as you for a writing instructor, i could have never had 3 books printed, nor could the 4th be in manuscript suitable now. stop coaching what some liberal fool instructed you, and you swallowed total, and use what's left of your suggestions to work out what it fairly is all fairly approximately. coach human beings to create with words, not in elementary terms parrot your recommendations.

I believe you can't manufacture art, and the poetry has to be created through one's imagination and surroundings rather through objective means.
