You've been with us,
For two whole years,
Though it seems that,
It's more than two.

A great teacher,
You are to us,
Never did we have,
A dull day with you.

We expect the unexpected,
In every lesson you teach,
'Cause there's always something new,
And unpredictable you do.

You made the subject interesting,
Enjoyable and fun,
We learned to love it more,
As the days passed by.

Not only a teacher,
You are to us,
But a wonderful friend,
To cherish forever.

You know how we feel,
You understand us well,
That's why we really,
Want you to stay.

This poem was written,
Especially for you,
From the bottom of my heart,
I say "thank you".

What do I think? Is it OK?

What I think is this:
If one of my students handed me this, I would read it, look in the students eyes, think of all the mechanical and grammatical errors, and say "Thank You" before my eyes started leaking all over the paper. It's a touching tribute. It's perfect like it is. She/He will love it.
