Screaming in the dark and scared out her mind
her soul is out of body and hovering behind
the dreadful pain that is foreseen
will be her demise at only eighteen
tied to a table and squirming to get free
shivering cold from an intolerable degree
as the mask man walks in with knife
she begs god one last time for eternal life
he slices her flesh and the blood starts to flow
by her hair he pulls her head back and wont let go
he moves in closer to smell her fear
tells her that her last breath is very near
her milky white neck is sliced with ease
the blood starts to gush as she begins to wheeze
her spirt leaves the body and upwards it soars
she’s finally entering those heavenly doors

I am afraid to love, and yet I love you.
My fear is like a wall I walk right through.
The wall is there, and yet it doesn't stop me.
I need it still, and yet I still need you.
I know someday we will be in a field
Surrounded by the blessing of the sky.
I'll dance with all the freedom of pure joy,
Needing you without a reason why.

But now I'm still afraid that I might lose you,
That you might not accept my desperate need.
You make me laugh and cry and be completely.
You are the flower, I the slender reed.

*****

The drums are silent
The storm clouds passing
And there is quiet in the night

No Tom-Tom Calling
No Russian waters
Nothing from Paris or Berlin

Out on the prairie
Wheat shocks drying
Waiting for an icy reception

The scarecrow’s motion
Comes from the breezes
Of those gliding by the field

want you more than I’ve ever wanted anyone before
But how can I get you to notice me, if you love some body more
Because when I see you with her, my heart begins to ache
Every time she makes you laugh, I think of my mistake

The mistake I made of loving a guy in which I hardly know
One who loves another, yet your feelings you never show
Though as you look upon her I see the yearning in your eyes
But every time this happens my heart fills with such despise

She makes the smile upon your lips form in such a way
And slowly my hopes and dreams of you crash and fade each day
It kills me to know that I can’t be the one to make you smile like her
Though everyday that passes without you makes my life a blur

You don’t like her for her mind or beauty so it must be her physique
But the constant hugging and playful hitting makes my heart feel weak
Going with your every move, while clinging on your arm
Looking at her it’s hard to see how you think of her as a charm

But if you love her, then perhaps there’s no way to intervene
You’ll keep on trying, like I do, until the day you’re seen
Because if I walked a million miles you still wouldn’t notice me
Though give her second to walk by and you’re already on one knee

I want you so bad but in your eyes I know I am unknown
For the girl you love is everything as she sits upon a throne
If I screamed your name I’m sure she would only scream it louder
Gave you all I have to give, and you’d still look at her and be prouder

I have to give up someday, but I really don’t know how
So I guess I can wait awhile or at least just right now
I can’t wait for you forever, for if I did I could not see
For all your light would shine upon her and in the darkness, I would be

My bestfriend had this site where you can post your literary composition (essay, poetry, short stories, Quotes). It has features where anyone can post critics / comments or any reactions. And also you can embed a thumbnail of your entry to blogging sites, or any site that supports flash embed. For me I find the site cute. :)

Eleven, score years and a decade ago
Our nation sought to have no foe.
Yet this generation hath wrought
Untold wickedness which we have bought.
Our forefather’s mind: holy and pure
Yet we have become wholly obscure.
That golden age is long, long past
We live in the present and it may be our last.
Murder was treacherous in those days
Yet its common now and its people’s chosen ways.
The golden age was filled of a sincere heart
Yet we have abandoned it and had depart.
This generation takes life’s price
Takes foolishness lightly and rolls a dice.
The consequence they do dislike
Murder is eminent upon their site.
Murder comes to the unborn
Innocent and pure and our forefathers do mourn.
The surgeons are slicing the womb
Just to kill the baby to make its doom.
What wickedness is this
Just to have sex and temporary bliss?
Our nation brags of our glory
Yet we have nothing but just a story.
We call ourselves Christians and the blessed
But all we do is commit murder and

The moon gleamed silver as we sat in the grass of summer
I kissed his fingers, said I'm worried about him
He knows he smokes too many cigarettes
He had become everything he had learned was wrong
So he tried to change himself
Bought new clothes and dyed his hair
And lied about what he has done

"It's okay though, honey
I know your used to lying
You were made ashamed to face the truth
When you told your mother she threw the bible at you
Pretending is what you had to do
Growing up for her to accept you."

He takes prescription pills now
To try to cure his fever
But the loneliness still burns in him
I said, "My dear, you look like you've been crying."
Softly, he told me that he's been dreaming of dying
He spoke in a whisper as if every word hurt him
We held each other and waited for the sun to rise
Watched the sky turn a beautiful yellow
I felt cleansed and alive again
As he smiled, a real smile
In that moment everything felt right
White roses will bloom from our sorrow in the soil

This is a limerick I wrote after watching a video on YouTube about a guy who's irritated that his friends are always hooking up with his sister. It's a fictional limerick. Also, please don't let your political views get in the way of what you think about my poem!

I'm rather amused to say,
When my friends see my sister, they say, “Hey!”
Her breasts are enormous
And her face is quite gorgeous,
But too bad for them; she's gay!

When you lose your parents, you realize you are in a new world with a whole different slant on your identity. It's the emotions that are perfect for poetry. This is a poem about how empty a grave and the markings and the monuments are when you know you'll never see them again and you are as empty somedays as the grave is.

New Path

Barren and cold, it’s not without its own beauty
lying in an open field where dreams once were.

A simple marker, evidence of a complete lifetime
of experiences none of which will ever be known
except to those who look at it now with the pain
that it represents.

I bring flowers from time to time
only for them to die as well
but still the living pay homage
to the name and the space
as if this is really the place
where love lies in wait.

Empty house, empty heart
all that I knew is gone away
I must buy a new pair of shoes
it seems I’ll be walking another path.

sunset's rain

Before I fall like a withered leaf,
My life colored with pain.
Far away from sunrise,
Fast approaching sunset's rain.
Tears they feed my sorrow,
A memory I cannot claim.

Different times in different ways,
Slow, but not yet dead,
What have I left to leave,
Making gold from lead,
I come and go, arrived and left,
Not a single word was said.

Shadows appear in my dreams,
In a race that no one wins.
The hands of time never rest,
Time to pay for all my sins.
Join me in eternal sleep,
The flames will burn and cleanse.

silence

How tragic it may seem,
To cleanse the soul of pain.
There might be no more tomorrows,
When my yesterdays were complete despair.

A silent cry I scream,
That no one hears but me.
Crushed beneath the shadows
Of a burden vast.

Too late to hold on anymore,
Behind my steel grey eyes.
The fire inside me has gone cold,
Endless torment held by silent walls.

Look deep into me,
Tell me what you see.
How deep the river of fate,
In the silence of the hours late.

I also wrote something for the occassion, enjoy (or not)
Critique is not really required, but if you must, then endulge yourselves.

I just call this one
Happy Ending
When told I had but months to live,
I thought it all was through.
The doctor said I had a chance,
I then consulted you.

A flood of pityful tears I cried,
Then asked the question deep.
Would you be here to love me then,
Or from me would you creep?

Then from your lips I heard the words,
I wanted so to hear.
You said you'd love me for all time,
My heart lept up to cheer.

I told the doctor go ahead,
He cut me side to side.
There's nothing on my chest but scars,
The outcome I can't hide.

But now I have my life to live,
My man is still with me.
I hope to live forever with,
My man beside of me.

I called this 'The Last Sunny Day' but it's really about my Sunday morning run.....

Its the time of year when the hills burn and everyone smokes,
Green alder fires coaxed to life with cans of flaming diesel.
More hope than heat.

I climb a hill with an inscrutable Irish name,
The sky scattered with giant molar clouds
Grinding up the blue.

As the road levels I slow and turn and see your face,
Showing me the other side of things, back lit.
The world is new.

sunset's jealousy

Hey my dear friend Celtic moon,
I want to see you once again.
There's no way it's not too soon,
My love for you is not a sin.

I want to hear your perfect voice,
Silent night, your cold gray light.
I have forever made my choice,
To live my life with you at night.

I'm standing with you face to face,
Seabreeze blowing through your hair.
Your breasts covered with white lace,
I watch the sunset's silent glare.

i got lost (2)

Sometimes I fall down, and just don't get up,
Most of the time I don't care.
But now I am closer than ever before,
With no way to silence my pain.

Somehow or someway, I must of got lost,
On that same dark highway again.
I wish there was a way, that I could get back,
But another detour is ahead.

What do you see when you close your eyes tight?
What do you feel deep down inside?
Why do I even try to pretend,
To comprehend my pain once again?

I've tread on this path so many times,
But the hurt and the pain are still there.
I've tried to learn, but to no avail,
Why won't you just let me be?

Eyes that may open, yet fail to see,
The depths of my fading sanity.
The silent waves of a dying black sea,
Laying waste to the last bits of me.
