All these feelings I have for you
Are feelings that I can’t explain.
The way you hold my hand,
The way you kiss me,
The way you make me laugh,
The way you make me smile,
Are the ways that you make me feel like me.
I feel like myself when I’m around you.
No one else can make me feel like this.
I can’t let you go
Because you’re the best thing that ever happen to me.
No one else holds my hand like you do,
No one else kisses me like you do,
No one else makes me laugh like you do,
No one else makes me smile like you do
And gives me the amazing felling that you give me
When I’m around you.
All you need to do is look at me
And the feeling I get is outstanding.
If we break up when I’m not ready to,
Things will never be the same.
My life will go down here from there.
I trust you with my heart
And if you break it,
The side that no one else saw of me,
Will be flushed down the toilet,
And you will miss the way I used to be.

As I sit here,
Next to the hospital bed,
I'm waiting for you to wake up.
But I know you won’t wake up.
Well, at least not with the love
That you had for me before.
I can live without you being alive.
But I can’t live without you being dead.
I cant wait no more.
I’m going home
And taking the fault of your suicidal death.
I’ll pull the trigger of my own gun,
Not knowing that you live or not.

Cold, clear water
Down from a mountain stream
Cold, clear water
Soaks me in my dreams
Cold, clear water
Splash me with your smile
In your cold, clear water
I can swim for miles and miles and miles

It would mean a lot to me to hear some feedback on this. What does it mean to you? Are the words effective? How does it make you feel? Thank you!

----

Wasting time creating lies in drops of solid Earth and sky
So we can swim and sigh inside all these little things.

Ears and eyes turn back inside because they thought they heard a cry
From those who never seemed alive and surely could not sing.

Whispered noises giving choices no longer cast aside as voices
They say the life you thought was yours in many ways is not.

Another child reconciled when death certificate is filed
His body shell is buried deep as he becomes a god.

God?

The greatest lie is you and I the individual
We share (but we are unaware) of where we hide the soul
The single mind only divides and opens at your birth
For every thing and living being is taken from the Earth

Summer warmth turns chill
Golden leaves dance spirals
In October breeze

Sunday afternoon--
One more televangelist's
Fake altar ego

Summer-end clearance--
Brightly-colored bikinis
Hang like autumn leaves

i'm floating in an empty sea
this is the last place you left me

tomorrow shall not come to me
nor shine is newfound rays upon me

i'm floating in an empty sea
and i'm the only one it sees

it is a sea of my own misery
a wall you've helped build around me

i'm floating in an empty sea
tied to the bottom with a broken string

i'll never know what really happened to me
or where i've gone or things i've seen
for you took all of me-

i'm floating in an empty sea
this is the last place that you left me

You have a life
I have none
Except for the one
With you.

You have a family
I have none
Except for the one
I knew

Starting over ain't easy
I wonder what you'd do
And if some way, some how
Could I make it easy for you?

Could I understand your dreams
If you cried in the night
Or if you begged for understanding
And prayed for just a light

It's not the cold or the weather
Whether or not I stay
It's just that I need to make it
And see the light of day

So give me just a chance
To only be myself
Let's put the past behind us
Let's place it on a shelf

And everynow and then
We'll pull it off and look
We'll read it carefully and then
Close the cover on the book

Why oh why am I confused?
So many names for so few people.
Who is who?
Which name is which face?
Who's the real real Real Penfold?
How many names does the Anti-Christ have?
I'm glad I'm only me,
Little Cinnamon.

I just started writing poems and other materials recently. It really relieves all of the stressful things in my life and all of the things in life i don't have answers to. Do you enjoy writing poems?? If you don't write i suggest you try it. It is very fun. I will have to share some of my work once they are completely finished.

My mask of ice I let down
In front of those eyes, for you
For you I gave up my crown
My frozen heart you broke through

You brought me back to life
You had me revived
You put away from me that knife
You made sure I'll have survived

All the dangers I have long time denied
You kept close to your heart
All the tears I have cried
You made for me a fresh start

For you I came downstairs from my skies
With my past I broke all ties
All I ask from you is to throw her out of the door
If not, I'll have her lie dead forever on the seashore

This was an exercise for poetry workshop. We had to write a poem in which the words followed the alphabet. The professor challenged us not to start with A, so I didn't. What do you think?

Queen Guinevere’s Trial

Zealous accusations burn
Camelot.
Dying embers flare,
Gesturing hellishly,
Imitating jousting knights.
Lancelot mounts,
Noticing one peril-stricken queen,
Rides, spurring towards
Upheaval.
Virtue wasted,
Xanadu yielded.

There are wrongs darker then death or night
wrongs that make you scream in fright.
Darker then night is murder and it's color is black.
For the creature who kills has no soul, this his body must lack
Hatred stares death in the eye
for this many a good soul had to die.
Stealing, lying, cheating are only a few
of the evils that men do.
All of these things are wrong
but we have set aside a place for them to belong.
It's okay to tell a lie
It's okay to steal
It's even okay to kill
For the wrong that's darker then death or night
is the legal killing of an unborn child who didn't even have the chance to say "I don't want to die"

Almost Gone

I reached into my breast and pulled my heart out
holding it in my trembling hands
I was so amazed to see how little I had left
There was just a tiny bit of flesh pulsing there
Tears started to flow down my face so slowly
One teardrop fell upon my heart, it sparkled and shimmered
and slowly sank into what was left of my heart.
Years of such terrible pain and loss had caused my heart
to almost disappear.
With hands shakiing with grief I placed what was left of
my heart back into me
Clasping my hands I went down on my knees
looking up I prayed to God
"Please let me keep this small part of me, my heart is almost gone, keep me safe from letting anyone steal what is left of me"

A Perfect Night

A perfect night
from dusk to dark
and dark to dawn.
Darkness breeds
fades away to breeze
and breath of
summer's swaying trees.

Lovers are born
on bicycles
walking down the street
they smile awhile
touching hands
nothing seems out of spite

Barry and Betty
each say to themselves
and part ways

Hand to mouth, he survives.
Good and evil war, one is slew.
Into moon beams a soul did flew.

Any ideas?
Stuff that will touch people, get through to them, stuff that there is lots to write about, etc... basically, anything!
Or, what poetry topics would YOU like to read about??

Would you like reading poems that rhyme more or poems that dont?

Ride On
The memories were fading
and only the pain remained.
He locked a door inside of him
'cause love is wild
and can't be tamed.
The path he chose to follow
he knew and understood.
He rode it hard into the wind
to follow
where it would.
He came upon a crossroads
another traveller blocked his path.
"I carry a heavy load", he said,
she looked at him
and laughed.
(She said)
"The other side of a sunrise,
the sun sets
and the day is done.
When you wake from the dreams you've have
a new journey's
just begun.
I'm riding (ride on)
the wild ride
I want you along
I'm riding (ride on)
the wild ride
please come along."
As the wave broke over their bodies,
the wind let out a sigh.
Thunderheads were rolling
and lightning
streaked the sky.
The sparks turned into fire
drove a train into the night.
Throttle left wide open
they ignored
the caution light.
When the dust had finally settled
their seperate paths came into light
though he knew she'd found her home
his was still
out of sight
(he said)
"the other side of a sunset
the sun rises
a day has begun
Awakened to the dreams I have
my journey
is not done".
(she said)
"Keep riding (ride on)
the wild ride
I can't come along.
Keep riding (ride on)
the wild ride
find where you belong".

All I ask for is someone to love
All I ask for is only that one
Only that one who is willing for me
To be Whomever and whatever I ask them to be
I won’t ask for much, just compassion and love
Be willing, forgiving, I think that's enough

In the poem, the author says that once he sails through the portal, he will acquire all the knowledge he needs. But, after sailing through the portal, all he sees are more portals. And in fact, he has to choose a specific portal, so he ends up realizing that he will never know everything.

I thought it was Tennyson, but I can't find anything like that. I'm pretty sure the poet was British, though.

That’s…not…art!
It does not make my head hurt
It doesn’t make me do the ding dong dance

That’s…not…poetry
It failed to make me jump the ledge
There is not fun inside of this for me
No guns, no knives nor bigotry

That’s…not…painting
There’s no fire, there’s no evil, there’s no hating
You call this work of yours a triumph
This silly bit of hope and guidance…
