I know some here think a yes/no or T/F type answer is an answer to a philosophy Q, but do you think they are truly philosophical A's? What's missing from such answers?, Exactly what makes an answer philosophical?? This Q gets at the heart of the problem of what is the kind of Q&A process taking place at YA -especially here in the philosophy subcategory!

If we look around, we find mind-boggling complexity in everything. It is baffling to see how life clings on to a relatively insignificant planet twirling round an almost equally insignificant star – the Sun, within the grand scales of an immensely huge universe. And life is all that we have, but what is life? Is it a sheer act of courage in existence, or life is just the way a large factory is pre-requisite for to production of a simple electric bulb, that human life is just all too natural effect of all other things?

or say you were taking a medication that was helping a health problem, then you found out this medication is nothing but a vitamin or sugar (placebo.) If you find out it is a placebo, will it still help?

Everyone re-read Genesis. This time disregard "mans" idea of what a "day" in the life cycle of the world AT THAT TIME means. This world, in the context of what is/was written, and in the context of the author\s at that time, given they don't have our current knowledge, may actually have meant something entirely different to what we read in our current context.

Is a day 24 hours? Is it 24 million years? Think about the second part, then read Genesis again.

Ok, now re-read the bit about Adam and Eve. Does the author (remember, this is not God himself speaking, but through a worldy author reiterating events of the known world via a publication) know or even comprehend timescales of which may actually be happening? If that is, of course, what transpired.

Now put Darwin and Genesis together. Are they that far apart??

I sometimes feel so tired of taking one more step. I want to be home now. I don’t even know what could possibly hold me here. What is here that is not completely boring? Can a chocolate cake let me forget for a moment that I still perceive myself as separate? No. Can a great movie distract me from that pain of separation? No. Yes, I know separation is only an illusion and I am really already home. There is some relief in this message, but there is also that constant reminder that we see ourselves as separate or else we would not be here. Of course we do the other part as well and we remind ourselves that all this is an illusion and that we have never left home. I am tired of playing a game as if we were all separate, as if we need to fight wars and compete with each other. It is a boring game and keeps us here. I want to feel one with God and you. If you realize your oneness with me, then please write or if you want to remind us that this (illusion of a) journey can still be enjoyable.

Would it be ethical to have a baby on the moon? Eventually we'll probably have a permanent base on the moon. A baby born there probably wouldn't ever be able to come to Earth. It might not even develop into an adult normally. Would it be ethical for people to have babies while on the moon?
