A tasteless interpretation of the passage cited. It's the assertion that engenders self-denial. However, affirmation occurs also "in his heart". Instead of respecting the integrity of the text, the questioner is abusing it, venturing outside the heart that necessarily concerns itself with God, with the ultimate things that a heart (fig.) struggles with, to disparage signs of the struggle. Fool, spare me your generosity.
