Who are they really? Philosophers question things in life that are most likely never going to be proven, are they in denial? or are they just higher thinkers? What makes people become philosophers? Why do they do it?

I feel as I gain more wisdom, I tend to be more arrogant and cynical. I hate being rude and arrogant, but I'm also aggitated by ignorance, so I come off cynical and arrogant. So what is the line between intelligence or wisdom (you can pick one) and arrogance.

I mean come on, we all know there are three "O's" left in the puzzle, but these people feel compelled to buy them anyway.
When I see, "S_mewhere _ver The Rainb_w", I don't feel compelled to spend more money, I'm looking for the pot of gold. Please tell me the producers strongly encourage this behavior so the home viewers who may have problems figuring out the puzzles can feel like they win too... Otherwise I suspect these contestants enjoy the possibility of helping the other contestants win or spend hours flushing money down their toilets at home....

This idea just popped into my head in social studies class and I dont really know if I believe in it but I thnk its kind of interesting. My theory is that man has accepted certain abstract concepts simply because they are necessary in our daily lives. For example, is it possible to prove time? Numbers? Scientists can prove theories based on these concepts by using complicated math, etc. But is it reallly possible to go to the source of all this and say that this is true. 2 plus 2 is 4, but why? What makes this true? It seems that these concepts are the foundation of our daily lives. For example, how would New York City run for a day without the idea of time? But does that make time a reality? No, in my opinion it just means that it is a theory that we accept because it is a necessity. Im not saying we should forget them, because we do need them. I am just saying that we need to question reality and abstract, because what we see as real may just be theory. Sry this was so long.

that it is a brain disease or mental illness, why can't it just be what it is normal and natural and appropriate feelings, according to circumstances and situations and upsets in life? Why are others so ready to label the down side of life as a brain disease or chemical imbalance? Those are awful lies they tell, you kinow? They make the person feel worse, not any better, and would they call it an illness or brain disease if they liked what the other person did or how they thought or they were one of their croonies that they knew better then to disagree with? Have you ever thought about it really?
