Argue whether cloning should be banned or not, not whether it can be. Personally I don't think it can be stopped, but is there an ethical arguement it should be.

genetically we're predisposed to having kids, everything in our bodies is geared towards that end- is it right to say it's our responsibility as living creatures to do this? you don't know where your lineage may go, you don't know what you're depriving the world of by not passing on your genes-- wouldn't it be incredibly selfish to deny future generations the opportunity to live just because it didn't suit you personally?
just a thought.

Would an important job of the personnel department be to choose good staff for staff vacancies within the personnel department ?

(Those good staff would then help choose good staff for the organisation)

Theists have an easy way of answering the problem of free will by saying they just "have it" because a god gave it to them. And they don't have to explain it scientifically because with "faith" you dont have to really think about anything.
How is free will explained scientifically from an atheist who also believes in free will?
From what i've gathered everything is part of a determistic system. Even human thought. However an illusion of free will is experienced due to the generation of infinite behaviour from the interaction of finite-deterministic set of rules and parameters. Thus the unpredictability of the emerging behaviour from deterministic processes leads to a perception of free will, even though free will as an ontological entity does not exist.
"At any moment I can do what I want, but I cannot want what I want most"
-Schopenhauer

How do you view free will given the above?

do you consider whether or not it has philosophical significance of any sort? "What is the meaning of life" does have significance, but not when asked 71,000+ times. Do you ever use Search for Question, or look at the similar questions that pop up under yours as you type? Do you have the slightest idea what epistemology is, or metaphysics? Do you know how to form a proper propsition and a proper syllogism, let alone using good grammar and syntax?

I do, and I wish you would. If you need help forming a proper philosophical question, email me.

Actually, can an Ubermensch serve anyone other than himself?
If belief in God constitutes using morals other than the ones you created yourself, does that mean Nietzche condemns Theists as inferior to Atheists?
*note, the only thing I've ever read by Nietzche is a tiny bit of Zarathustra, so if Nietzche has already said explicitly that all religious people are wrong, please don't use that as your sole reason.
