I would say BOTH. The question is not of either/or, the questions is of how/ how much!! Happiness can be "brought within" through conscious and constant effort. Happiness can also be "bought in" for short term and instant gratification. Its a Choice. Wealth should be one of the things that beings happiness, not the only thing that brings happiness. Wealth can diffinately take away many problems, but does it guarantee happiness? May be not!

Sometimes people say money is not everything, but you will agree that it can definately take care of 99% of problems.

So, I think money can solve problems and make room for happiness. However happiness has to be created from somewhere else. I recommend both, no one says you can have just one!!
Good Luck!

Happiness is not the spawn of wealth, being wealthy is a false comfort. Do not have your values be misconstrued to believing that wealth will make you happy. People that have taken vows of poverty life happy and well lives. In American Society, we are taught that wealth equals happiness, and it's when we are ill and dying is when we come to the true realization.

Happiness should be your choice, wealth and all of it's trappings though it may initially make you happy believe it or not you will likely become bored and when that happens where can you turn for your happiness? Look to Hollywood and the sad turn of events in the lives of some of the wealthiest stars.

Happiness without a doubt. I won't deny that money brings many a sort of happiness, but becoming rich doesn't mean your life is instantly great. I once read a poll of lottery winners, and those that were making over 30k a year before becoming rich said that there was no dramatic improvement in the quality of life.
I don't doubt it.

have you ever heard of more money more problems? lol.. alot of people think that money will bring you happiness but look at all these movie stars and other not so famous people that are very well off and how their life is...not saying that everyone will act that way if they are wealthy but money doesnt bring you happiness... you definitely have to be in that happy state to enjoy your wealth right? so i would say happiness... i would rather be happy and have med income that be depressed and rich....

Happiness is the most rewarding. I speak from personal experience. I have both. i'd give up the money before I'd give up the happiness. ANY DAY!

Aristotle answered this one. All other qualities and conditions are desirable because they lead to happiness (including wealth).Happiness is desirable for its own sake.

I agree with Aristotle - happiness wins, hands down.
