True Freedom, Spiritual Freedom, is the ONLY reality. All else is illusion.

It depends on who you ask and the context. Some people would say that a living creature's inability to do everything -- that is, scatter one's atoms all over the universe and still be alive and other things like that -- proves that we are not really free. Others would say that freedom is a matter of having the right to determine your own destiny, and if you accept that then you end up with a whole nother set of debates about whether or not we really can determine our own destinies. Short of becoming omniscient, I can't see a way to determine the answer to your question, but that's no reason for you to stop caring.

Found these on "freedom"..

Abraham Lincoln

"Those who would sacrifice essential liberties for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Benjamin Franklin

"The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either. "
Benjamin Franklin

"It is preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents us from living freely and nobly. "
Bertrand Russell

"Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth. Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, Thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought is great and swift and free "
Bertrand Russell

"Whoever controls the media, controls the mind."
Jim Morrison

Based on what I see & what history shows.. we are not very free. It's the very rich that control everything. We are basically.. servants. Maybe in gilded cages.. but.. servants. : - (

Freedom is never to a whole extend. You are free to do anything up to when your exercise of freedom will affect other people.

Determinists and behaviourists claim that freedom is exercised in the context of constraints.

But an existentialist like me believes in freedom and to over-come or circumvent any obstacles that impinge upon my freedom.
