Zingis....surely you are not insinuating that I am not real....I have been told that I am too real for my own good...perhaps it has been too long since we emailed....you don't believe in me anymore?...have you been in isolation?...maybe you need to reach out and touch someone...no, I am not suggesting that you post your phone number....but you know if you did you would get dozens of calls from your loyal cohorts here...people who would say "Hey! How ya doin Zingis?"...and surely that would convince you...actually I don't think a computer could produce the quality of answers that are here....it would take a staff of hundreds even thousands to generate the answers...I am talking about the serious, meaningful, deep responses that are noted in Philosophy....some of the responses are remarkably unique....so it would not be cost effective to have pseudo participants....who all had to be paid rather than have the public do it themselves....I will note that sometimes the responses may seem canned in that they are so consistently mundane, but don't let that sway you...its for real baby!...now...just do the Tinkerbell thing...."I do believe all the gang are real....I do believe...all the gang are real"....there now....do you feel better?....

hahaha i recall you asking a similar question agggess ago! You really have problems believing you're talking to real people don't you!! AMAZING that you found people like you :)

I think the only way to prove it would be to meet up, but even if you guys are all computer generated, i've still grown attached so either way it wouldn't bother me.

Great question! Yes, I am computer generated. Just ask my computer generated wife and my computer generated son. The only thing we can know for sure is our own existence. Beyond that, it's all up for debate. Cogito ergo sum. I think...

We don't; Yes; Ask a friend to write a question. Or continue in your conceptual generation, how would I know.

"Ask Eliza" was far too popular for far too long to contemplate the life span of Yahoo Answers.

That these would be the best AI's ever seen. Have you ever actually talked to a chatbot? They're very frustrating.

But if I'm an AI, I'm as good as HAL.

(How do you know any of it is real? How do you know your brain is not in a vat?)

That would be a very interesting multi-personality computer - kind of like Jane in the Ender books.
