I'm a visual person, and oftentimes my dreams are an offshoot of a particular detail of an image I've experienced that day. For example, I happened by an orange gate on my way home, and my dreams start from there; or a classmate's smile recurs in my dream, creating a sense of deja vu even while I am dreaming. Oftentimes those details were things I barely even made note of while experiencing them awake, and which I remember to have experienced during or after the dream. My most fantastic and vivid dreams- that seem to be launching sequels to Alice in Wonderland and the Adventures of the Mad Hatter- occur thanks to those strange details, as when the orange gate opened to an underground Gothic church and the smile led to a umble down drainage systems (no kidding, don't ask.)
Since I live in pictures, the TV gets my vote. Books fuel my dreams too, and though that is rarer, they are more special, since they are often more bizarre, leading to openings of a vast glass world, or getting run down by floating headlights in an expressway.
Again, don't ask.

None of these seem to make a difference for me. What makes my dreams more vivid usually is when I'm finally sleeping for a long time after a period of being sleep-deprived, like only getting 5-6 hours of sleep a night for several days.
For some reason, my day's activities seldom seem to have an influence over the type or intensity of dreams I have.

The less you sleep the more vivid your dreams are, but the less able you are to remember them!!! ha. just another way the world screws with us.

Not really, what it makes them more vivid at least for me is when I'm deeply concern about something.
TV, Internet and else just make them more twisted to understand.

My dreams do not change at all after doing anything important; they change when something affected me greatly.
