Depends on your definition of magical.

For a lot of people, learning about the intricacies of the world through science only serves to deepen their sense of beauty, awe and appreciation of the natural world around us. The mathematician sees a snail shell and sees the formula or algorithm describing the conical curvature of the shell. The biologist sees the molecular mechanisms that went into growing and shaping the shell. The evolutionist sees the whole back history of the shell, how time and circumstances have given it the shape and colors that it has in order to maximize the survival rate of that particular species in its niche. And so on.

Magic is in the heart, so what & where you see it in is largely up to you.

Only if bacteria, potential disease, and parasites are magical. I think you are out of touch with reality. Your epistemology does not match empirical existence.
