If honesty and integrity are not forsaken, a confrontation would not be a bad idea.

Confrontations dont have to be a negative thing.
Sometimes it's best to be confronted by a friend or to confront a friend about something that has happend, is happening or does happen.
It's best done openly and best from a frined because if you want to keep the friendship you will "fix" the issue or make amends or have the oppertunity to explain.

If it was from a true friend who had my best interests at heart then I would be grateful for it. Sometimes you need someone close to you to point out your flaws for you to stop and think about it, and then hopefully try to change. If though they came at you in an ugly fashion and you sense some other motivation for them doing so, not your best interests, then you need to evaluate how good of a friend that person really is.

Don't respond to it. Just give them some time to think about their attitude towards you. Respond with kindness and just wait... they may turn around without you doing anything.

To answer your question, It wouldn't bother me. If they are a real friend, they will come back, and if the friendship was not real you may just have to let go of the idea that they were ever a friend.
