Ever feel like life is pointless. we have an average of 70 years to leave our mark in this world, what about the ones that never had a chance to leave their mark...the ones that left this earth without anyone or anything to remember them by.

If you know you're right, and that your way is the best way, why should you be tolerant of opposing views?.......Why should you tolerate people or arguments that contradict you?........Isn't tolerance sort of something that you grant to those who aren't good enough to assert themselves in a way which doesn't require such charity………Doesn't it seem like if we go about creating circumstances where we tolerate things that are undesirable that this could lead to a weakening of desirable traits in evolutionary sense…………..I know tolerance is a great catch phrase for a political campaign………but really, is it a good idea to regard it so highly?

I have a goal , how would I find out if that's my real goal or not?

I feel like there is something I neeed to do in my life. I went through depression and anxiety all my life i am 25 now.

I am getting over depression now, that's why i ask this question because --I AM NOT SURE , if my Goal or Aim to be somebody in this world came To beat depresiion. because as you know most depressed people doesn't really have a goal .

and this is bothering me since , i am a person who likes to be sure of everything he does. .

i want to find out if that's my " real passion" or "something i made up so I could forget my depressed and painful life once and for all".

Okay, in a previous question, I think people missed the point of the question because they got caught up in my stories. I think I have found a way to ask the question with a bit more simplicity. (A little more concisely, perhaps.)

What makes it possible for a young child to hold such a contrary view to all they had been taught at home and by society at large (relating to ideas of right and wrong)? Whereby the child thought something that was deemed "right" was "wrong." (i.e. spousal abuse)

This a question asked a thousand times a day. But does it ever occur to anyone how unimportant each individual is to the world, the world only works as a whole, as the whole 7 billion of us. We are all born equal, but do not live equal. Do any of you ever wonder why all of us cant be remembered in history and that it is not fair that lives are wasted everyday, some people have to go through difficulties and others are born into paradise. Why cant we all be actors? Why cant we all be presidents? why cant we all be rich? - In the end, does it all really matter, the world, why try to make a difference when there will always be greed, power, evil and corruption. In the end we all die and live all eternity in blackness, why worry about life??? Why???

This may take a bit of typing to get across, but, please stay with me. :)

People debate from whence a sense of morality comes (or the ideas of right or wrong). It has often been said that you are "taught" right and wrong. Others say your conscience is your guide. (I typically asociate conscience with guilt.) And then, of course, there are a number of God theories.

All of that aside (because I don't think any of them are applicable here) how would you explain the following. Can you speculate why I might have felt as i did? (I will give two examples.)

1. One evening, when I was quite young, perhaps 11, a police car was at a neighbors house. Being the nosey people that we were, everyone in the neighborhood went to hang around outside the neighbor's house to find out what was going on. As it turned out, the man who lived there had been beating his wife. It was not illegal back then. He was considered within his rights, especially considering it was in his own home. Everyone in...

If a guy/girl told you that they are 'falling for you' does that mean they are in love with you or just 'love' you or both?
Is there a difference? What does 'falling for you' entail? Does it matter if you've only known them for about a month?
