Philosophers and Saints say, "All loves on this earth are Contractual loves only, except the 'Mother-Baby' love.
I say, Yes, and what is wrong in it ? How the Universe will survive otherwise ??
Now my Dear Friend, what is your view / advice / comment on this saying ???
Moreover, is the 'Mother-Baby' love is really an exception to that, viewing from all angles and corners ???

It seems USA is quite "intolerant" with cynical and pessimistic people. Not that they are all "good". I admit hypocrisy in many. But something insides me makes me cynical and pessimistic. Can't help it. But we tend to forget the large number of famous "cynics" and "pessimistic" people we had: Mark Twain, Henry Thoreau, W.C. Fields and Groucho Marx. I will never be famous, nor I wish it, but I am in "good company", ha ha. Feedback, please.

Why does Descartes introduce the “evil genius, supremely powerful and clever” into the First Meditation? What role is this figure assigned to play?

I don't see how anyone can argue that ALL evil is caused by the love of money - there's plenty of evils that surely can't have been caused by love of money, what about religious wars or mass murder by a serial killer? Can anyone please explain this? Thanks for helping!

... if i met a view that God is Nothing and Everything, is that so important where i got it ? Haven't you met this opinion before ? Is that so difficult to admit that everything is possible if everythingis possible for Him ? Is not this the true humble and tolerance ? Zen buddhists swear that word is nothing unless you have the experience - is not more important to EXPERIENCE and spread God e.g. to laugh/love ? If buddhist find so many experiencies in emptiness is not it interesting as well ? Can you measure beauty ? Can you measure Love ? Isn't it Nothing in material world Everything in the spiritual one ? Is not Spirit the highest form of the matter ? And again - is that so important where i met this view ?

your thinking/belief seems to arrest the developement of God at the sub-atomic level. You don't seem to understand MAN IS GOD! You're stuck in the early stages of God's developement and seeing only that as God, which is like seeing an egg as a chicken! Or seeing sperm and egg cells, as people. Or seeing a spermatozoon as a Man. Sure there is a process each one goes through which eventually transforms one into the other, but you would never see a seed and a tree as the same thing. You worship the initial stages of His self-creation as God, when you should worship God at His final stage of completion, which is Man! You don't seem to understand Man is the end result of the self-creation process and that's who God is - A MAN! So here you are worshiping intelligence, wisdom, power, force, spirit, essense and mind; all of which is possessed by MAN. When you worship these things brother, you're only worshipping Yourself or particular aspects of Yourself. In his totality, Man is all the above. That was the goal of the Originator, to create Himself as a Man. You keep saying God(Allah) exists within man. But the Messenger takes it much further. He states GOD IS MAN! Period! Through and through. Inside and out. This 'Divine Essence' you keep speaking of is the Black Man. You want to separate the two and place one inside the other which is ridiculous. It's like saying, "water is within ice" or "water is the divine essence of ice". But when we use the Messenger's logic, common sense and reality as our guide, we know that ICE IS WATER! To say water exists within ice is quite redundant and totally unnecessary. I don't worship the 'first cause'(whatever that was), I worship the 'final effect'(Man-the true and living God). Your God is so incomplete. It can't see, hear or speak among other things and I'm just scratching the surface. Your God is still at the embryonic level. God didn't create Man(someone other/lesser than Himself). God created Man(Himself). Don't you see the difference between these two statements?

Where on the .Net can I find Philosophical Questions for free?

2007-11-24 21:49:08 · 3 answers · asked by Anonymous

I'm asking this from a philosophical point of view. This was something that was said at the end of a show I watched. It was on an episode of Star Trek DS9 called "The Darkness And The Light".
It is about revenge, the innocent, and the difference between right and wrong.
The bad guy was an innocent bystander of a bombing who was scarred for life over what happened to him. He was going to take the soldier's unborn baby and teach it right from wrong and raise it in a way he thought was right. In his own words "seperate the light from the dark". In the end he failed taking the innocent baby and the soldier said "What he didn't realize...is the light only shines in the dark... and sometimes innocents is just an excuse for the guilty".
What was the meaning of that line? I was a bit puzzled by it when heard it.

Some say life is about kicking *** of the evil, some say it's about kissing *** of the evil. Tried both, and even living in peace. But none brought any satisfaction to me. And wouldn't will bring to the world. Want to know the difference between good and evil. I am 18 years old. I used to be a fun loving person till age of 17. But because of some incidences my mind changed and I headed towards sprituality. I am searching for a cause to live for. Help me in finding the real aim.
