The key to life is satisfaction...... satisfaction can be mathematically expressed as outcome divided by expectation...... therefore in order to maximize satisfaction, we need to reduce expectation levels and increase outcome levels.... this translates to work hard without expecting great results.
Rather unromantic, isn't it? But we must realize that life is not mere romance or excitement, it involves purpose and commitment. This is why life is mostly stressful and the best we can manage is to reduce the stress... reducing expectation levels is the best way to reduce stress.
