It seems so many questions focus on happiness. Are we just looking for a feeling that we can get from a pill?

What am I talking about?

For example: We Humans remember when something has caused us pain. This memory of pain is necessary for self-preservation. It keeps us from repeating actions that cause physical harm. But, from a *psychological* perspective, the memory of pain causes more damage than the pain itself. So, it seems that evolution discounts emotion, yet we revere it. Your thoughts?

[ I’m interested in evolutionary, psychological, and philosophical viewpoints, but I’m also perfectly willing to accept straight opinion. :-) ]

Through my experience I find that there is always ups and downs are happened to all the humankind. No one is happy forever and no one is sorrowful forever. I feel that the distribution of sorrow and happiness is equal to all humanbeings invariable of rich, poor, good, bad, believer or non-believer.

Language is the Biggest problem in the world. It may seem like a good thing but it really isnt. Language sperates our selves from the rest of reality. Because we have words for things and communicate them, we come up with ideas that we are each individuals seporate from a total system. This ends up with ideas that are not real, but we treat as real. Mostly we identify these problems through emotion, but without language life would work through instinct, and therefore without thought.

If this was the case, then we would have no sence of self, cause we would have no thought, we would simply be. If there is no sence of self, then everything in turn works as a total system. The word Problem is an idea brought up eventually by language, and would not exist if language did not exist. So alll of our perceptual problems would not even be real to us if not for language, so I think language is the biggest problem in the world.

What do you think?

I'm talking about the technical definition of validity, which says:

An argument is valid if and only if the truth of its premises entails the truth of its conclusion.

Resource consumption is at the top of the human to-do list. With or without technologies, the human race is beating the same path over and over: consume resources, the more the better. War is being used to decide who can have what. It is this linear like evolution that seems to be the weakness.

Every creature under heaven seems to walk the same path. It just happens that humans have the power of knowledge. This is the only thing that separates humans from animals. Even with this unique gift, humans still do the same kind of things that animals do. Humans only know how to use it to enhance their attacks.

So what is there for humanity? What is the next step? Are humans going to repeat beating the same current path forever?
