Self defense

Self defense is the only thing I can think of that would justify killing another person! Other than that there is no justification. What would make their life so unimportant as to take it away??? Is that right? Anyway, I hope this helps. GOD bless!

Defending a loved one, someone unable to defend themself... possibly self-defense, depending on the situation.

I don't think killing someone in such a situation constitutes "punishing" them... it's not a matter of punishing someone or passing judgment on them. It's a matter of defending someone who would otherwise be a victim.

That said... I think the justification for killing another human is also the only justification for killing animals and any other sentient beings. Life is life, regardless of species.

Thousands of people die each day, you kill one person even if it's on accident you get arrested. Yet look at Iraq, look in the past. War has killed millions of innocent people on purpose. No it is not right to kill another human being no matter how many bad qualities they have. Or even if they threaten your life. Good day.

Individuals do not have this right.

We do have the right to defend ourselves -- if it happens under dire circumstances that an evildoer trying to hurt us or our family such may or may not be forgiven by God. This becomes a matter for the legal system and God to judge later.

Governments have it -- of course, this supposes that the legal laws are somewhat conventional and that this killing is not done for outrageous reasons.

God also has this right. In his case as in regard to the legal governmental systems -- it is a matter of justice.

Killing another human SHOULD never be able to be justified, but ofcouse we come up with some ways. That is why soliders call Iraq's 'the Enemy' because then they will be able to kill them instead of realizing that they are human too and have family and loved ones.

if it was them or you. what isnt ideally right, but justified to me, would be, if a child molester killed one of your children,or if anyone killed a family member with no provocation. its not right to kill another human, but sometimes its the only way to stop them from killing again. you cant depend on our so-called justice system. a killing in passion is one thing, but killing for a thrill is another. too many of them have been let out for being model prisoners, just to repeat the same crime because they are not monitored properly. our court system is so greedy for money, that alot of hardened criminals slip thru the system because the attention is focused on petty crimes and supervised probation for those who commit them. only because of the money.

Such a broad question is not possible to properly answer philosophically. Killing/death almost always has scope problems even when defined narrowing, broadly the scope is large that no example can suffice.

No period it's wrong. unfortunately it is our last resort. For all the evil people that seem to have no heart. Death is to good for them, I say let them feel what they've done. Death is for the ones who are out f time. Death can be a gift, but should never be a punishment. And for all those people who do suicide, they are cowards to scared to face the real world like the rest of us. Death is to good for them too.

Defense of one's self or the defense of another who is unable to defend themselves. All other options should be visited before the last resort of lethal force is used.
