Perhaps, G stands for Generation, O for Organization and D for destruction... the three aspects that define this Universe in its creation, sustenance and culmination...... a cycle that is repeating incessantly which is what signifies the constancy of change. This explanation is perhaps just a clever adaptation of the ancient Indian Philosophy of 'Trimurthy' namely, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.

There is a book by Gary E. Schwartz, PhD entitled, "The G. O. D. experiments; how science is discovering God in everything, including us." (Atria Books, N.Y. NY, 2006) In this book he explains that G.O.D. is an acronym for the Guiding, Organizing, Designing Field of the universe.

Schwartz is a professor of psychology, medicine, neurology, psychiatry and surgery at the Univ. of Arizona and director of its Laboratory for Advances in Consciousness and Health. He is a graduate of Harvard Univ. He is an "Intelligent Designer."
