Think of the highway-driving mentality-- it's personal combat.

Instead of going around a slow-moving car, people tailgate it. They establish their dominance, and force the slow car to cede the right-of-way.

Have we created a painted, multi-lane arena with an established dominance hierarchy?

...Why don't other users of this website do what I do? If you don't like it...don't read it, or respond to it...if you see a question you don't like...skip it. If you get an answer to one of your questions that you don't like...skip it.

Why am I the only one who seems to understand that this website is "user's choice" when it comes to material they view...?!? It's very simple, people...ignore it...if you don't like it...(duh!)...

I have not been able to find a point to life that has some permanence to it. I need there to be meaning that would last eternity. I refuse to submit to faith or organized religion ...I do not believe in an afterlife, although I am technically agnostic since I find it illogical to deny the slight possibility in a God ...I cannot prove nor disprove these theories.

The universe will either implode in on itself in the Big Crunch, eliminating all of reality forever...then in the overall scheme ...my life will not matter - neither will yours or anyone else's. It will be as if we never existed.

If the universe expands forever...eventually the stars will burn out ...and no life will exist.

We will die and will be forgotten...

I am not making a post for attention ...but I honestly feel as though life serves no purpose. It would be hypocritical of me to believe this while continuing to live ...

I am seriously contemplating suicide...
after all, what would it matter?

Assume that you can keep the abilities and memories of your human mind. You can be any animal you want but you have to stay that animal for two years without changing back. Those two years will be deducted from your human life.

what is true?
meditate on this one before you answer.
If you are someone searching for this, you may have to ask yourself what is it your'e actually looking for, I'm not looking for "true" as stated in the dictionary, what is your "true". you have to take into account that what's true for one isn't true for another, and true can't be an opinion. I have been wondering about this for a while, and "true" doesn't seem to exist. sure there's truth, but that's not the same thing, It's a personal aspect of true, I'm wondering about a universal "true". what I'm asking realy is, is destroying a question the only way to solve it?

The other day I was having some herbal therapy and I came up with idea of satellite billboards. In other words, advertisments in space that you can see from earth. I thought the idea would be terrible but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened. Airborne ads aren't unprecedented. Think about the Goodyear blimp or those planes that fly around with banners attached to their tails.

Anyway, assuming creating them would be feasible, what do you think about the idea of satellite billboards?

It sounds stupid, but I just want to know what it is. I heard that Emma Watson is going to study philosophy at university and I would like to know what the subject would cover. What is philosophy?

I listen to heavy metal, progressive, rap and alternative, but I still like the Carpenters. It is a guilty pleasure I admit.

because we could say that reason is higher than emotion and it is impossible for a man who has a direct emotive act which does not commit ethical violation. example when you express an anger it fallows that you must show it yet in way that reason must be maintain but reason does not permit you to anger only if your reason is higher than the way you express your anger(in short a mother will not let her child suffer bruises if her aim is discipline )
