Actually, since you're asking this question, you're ready to start seeking your inner truth! Congratulations!

Look at any 2-year-old. They exude Love. That is because Love is a Natural state of human beings. Love, Peace, and Joy are all natural states that we humans enjoy, yet are taught to repress by parents, peers, siblings, and society.

Love is thought by many to be an emotion, but emotions are all causal. That is, they are all CAUSED by the way we look at things--by the mind. Hate, anger, happiness, well-being, sadness, etc. are all caused by the mind labeling something or someone as good or bad, causing happiness, causing sadness, and so on.

Look at your life and see if this is not so. You'll find that EVERYTHING we take as emotion, with the exception of Peace, Love, and Joy are all causal.

I thought of some answers, but after writing them, I think the best answer is always that love is a mystery. And I think along with passionate love is of course passionate hate.

Love is the glue of the universe. It is a recognition of the inner light, of the Divine in your infinite self.

The opposite of love is not hate, it is apathy or indifference.
