The eternal quest for happiness completes what we are.
However, most people change their quest for happiness from one thing to another, and from one person to another, when that quest is an inner matter.
External (ego centric) fulfillment never ends. Inner fulfillment finds peace. The door to happiness opens inwards.
Gnoscete ipsum (Know your Self) still applies.

I doubt true fulfillment is possible to achieve in its totality. One can be fulfilled for a given moment, but once the effect of the fulfillment wears off, the person is left longing for more. There will always be something to be desired. It is part of human nature.

'What completes all that you are?'
Knowing that completion is impossible because we are infinite, needs recycle and life goes on. What is false fulfillment.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
