Think of the highway-driving mentality-- it's personal combat.
Instead of going around a slow-moving car, people tailgate it. They establish their dominance, and force the slow car to cede the right-of-way.
Have we created a painted, multi-lane arena with an established dominance hierarchy?

We are an impatience lot. Whenever I get stuck in traffic or a line up I use it the opportunity to clear my mind of thoughts that have been accumulating or muddy the waters so to speak.
Others have different philosophies and ethics in some of these issues.
The car, btw, also serves as a shield. In our culture, the car is a way to avoid contact, isolate and avoid interaction with others of our species.

yes you are right. ou cars may have beome mode day swords. i have two itresting points to share on the issue. first is that witth our cars the mentality of territorility also comes into play. and secondly people cant just back down. any slight to them by other motorists, they btake it as a insult to them, so they feel if they back out they loose face so they go on and on, ofcourse the same thing happens on the other side, and it can turn out violent. thirdly when driving ezpecially at high spee already we are getting a rush of adreline and becoming violent is not that far off.

Cars are just inanimate vehicles of transportation, nothing more. It's the way the driver behind the wheel chooses to use them that makes them safe or unsafe. The same can be said for any other inanimate we have access to in our daily lives.

Swords are used for defense. Is it not a savage need, to assert dominance? Sometimes, it may be fun, but sometimes it should be looked down upon.

no. it's an act of ego- boosting technique where men always have a problem. instead of htting others' butts just to boast for the imaginary status you have, why not try your own business and get what you want without spanking others' reputation purposely? it's better to achieve something without telling it to others that you deserve it. likewise, dominance is not the key to success-- responsibility is.

They are our bananas. Except, we can't eat them. Seriously tho, some people are angry and treat life too seriously. They suck and need to get a life. That's what I reckon.
