I probably asked this question a million times. Could it be that I am not intelligent? Then again...It's like trying to describe what virtue is. There are so many definitions. It's not like a solid that has a definite shape. Even a solid doesn't have a definite shape. There is no perfect shape in this world. Do you know what I mean, if yes, answer my question please. Doesn't intelligence depend on culture, envirnment..etc.

If you can be certain that one group has oppressed another group would you say that the record of the event given by the oppressed is more significant than that of the oppressor. Assuming they can not be given equal wieght.
I'm asking the question in general. I am specifically looking at first person accounts of american slavery.

if you add the meaning that life sucks ...do you remain aware that life does not actually suck or not suck but that you have added that meaning to life and live a life that maintains a world to fit the meaning you added?

And it does not have to be a negative meaning, it could also be that you ad the meaning that "life is beautiful" do you remain aware that life is not actually beautiful nor not beautiful but that you have added that meaning to and live a life that maintains that world to fit the meaning you added?

my question is do we distinguish the "meaning" WE ADD to life, from life itself

and what meanings to do you add to life?
