No is harder to say because I am an optimist. If the question was asking a favor, the answer would be yes, if it's about trying something new or unknown, yes and since you did not specify, and only gave the choice "yes" or "no" i have to go with affirmative. In fact ,yes can be the answers to many questions, even ones where yes is not one of the possible answers.

My dear... it all depends on the question asked.

If the question is something like... "Do you like the color red?" Then, either yes or no is equally easy to answer.

If the question is "Does God Exist?"... then, it's hard to answer either a yes or a no.

If the question is "Don't you think she's not sexy?" ... then it's also hard to answer a yes or a no.. because no could mean yes, and a yes could mean no, depending on what is being stressed in the question. The answer is ambiguous in meaning.

If the question is.. "Haven't you learned already?".... then it doesn't matter what the answer is... because it is a rhetorical question.

And then... you get the question like yours... which is ambiguous and incomplete.. so it doesn't matter what the answer is.. either a yes or a no would suffice.

So, my answer to your quirky question is, ironically... YES.

Well, just like it is difficult to answer any question in plain yes or no, same way it is difficult to answer your question. An answer of 'Yes' or 'No' simply would mean that our knowledge about that matter is complete. Well I believe not many human beings living have achieved such a state of perfect knowledge.

yes because if someone asks you an embarrassing question you want to say no but that would be taking the easy way out if yes was the true answer.

Depending on how the question is asked, I think it's harder to disagree with a statement or reply in the negative to a question. I think it relates to human feelings.

Most people don't want to create conflict or instill resentment by not agreeing, so they feel more comfortable going along with the majority. Answering in the negative often feels like one might be hurting someone else by not agreeing.

Therefore, in answer to your question, I have to say....No, even if it's hard to do so.

Yes. It has actually been proved that we say and hear the word "no" 10 times for every 1 yes in our life time.

Yes is definitely more difficult. No is one of the most easy things to say in the world, unless it is a dating situation. (ha!)

If person asking you is your near and dear one & the reply is No - it is difficult. But if the replying person is really a Straight forward person - Yes or No does not matter to him/her.

Why would there be a difficulty? The process of answering a question is most of thetime is based on logic and not making a choice.
