Think of something trivial, something small that ordinarily would seem pointless. Try to imagine a domino effect of something that could change the world that we live in. Explain why you think it might work. I want good quality answers, no generic answers like: give money to the poor, or something like that. both negatives and positives are welcome. notice I said "change the world", not necessarily change it for the good.

Think of earth as a human being. All the cars and factories and such that emit smoke are cigarettes, cigs arent good for a person so why would they be good for earth.

All the toxic waste we dump and things like that are drugs like acid and ectasy, that aint good for a person either.

So the earths destruction is all our fault, way to be people.

I believe in Objectivism. Your opinion. I don't really care what you think because I know I'm right.

Everyone hates me. No one cares. No one cares about my feelings. I keep getting rated down. Thumbs down, thats all I get. All of you that rated me down, I have feelings too. You should respect them. Don't bother me with these "suicidal attempting help for teens" crap. I ain't crazy and I'm not killing myself or anything.

Yet I have Jesus Christ with me, so I smile because He is here. I am no longer sad. If ONE MORE of you talk about my Faith, THATS IT. I have my opinions, my faith, and I can express it freely because meanwhile I don't insult someone. I'm sorry I'm grumpy, but I can't help it.

I'm focusing more on teenagers. Being a teen myself & not able to explain why most of them tend to think that being good-looking is the first goal they have to reach. I do prepare myself to look neat & decent, also but I limit myself all the time. So, it's easier to ask those who aren't teens looking from your point of view, why do you think they worry about things that aren't as important in life more than things that are. & I'm talking about teens in general, both male & female.

When the truth is, you're not. Some people always call others ignorant, stupid etc. using such awful terms to describe people when you know you're no better. When one asks a question that you have the answer to, you call them ignorant just because they dare to ask? No one knows everything. You're gonna have to learn a lot more. There's no destination for knowledge. By calling people ignorant, you're telling others that you are closed minded & arrogant. A mind is the most beautiful, most powerful, & a priceless weapon that everyone has. Don't waste them? Well, my question is. Do you criticize people just because they want to learn & discover? If you or your family members constantly label others, what can you do to stop you/them from doing it?

Do we need beliefe? Is belief just a range of understanding that changes over to knowlege? Does there need to be a point to believing? Should there be a point? If belief cannot be proven should it be used to guide oneself? Should others beliefs be a guide to others?

Not everyone is jealous and possessive, although there is the competition to procreate. But I think it's at least as much nurture (society) as nature (biology).

It's all to do with survival - maybe the less we need someone for survival, the less possessive we'd feel? Hmmm - just a theory - any others?

--(though many do not realize it, the idea that everything is made of matter, primarily atoms, is only a theory, an assumption. and just as Newton's laws were disproved and replaced, so will this theory one day. However, it has been built into our minds for so long to be fact that many people cannot see past that. so what do you think the universe is made of? - matter or something else entirely?

I have always been one who is curious about the world. I want to learn and to know more things in the hope of better understanding who I am, where I come from, and what life is all about.

What I don't understand is why others do not share this same passion. Why can some people be so content not to learn more about life? How can anyone be satisfied that constant evaluation of one's belief is not necessary to being complete?
