Don't forget what the Lord says in the Bible... "greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world." Don't you dare let satan use nameless, faceless people on this site steal your joy or your confidence. Jesus warned us that the world would hate us just as it hated Him so don't be surprised when you encounter mean people. You stand tall for Jesus girlfriend!

I know this is going to sound a little odd...
But on the one hand, it's kind of good to hear that you're being persecuted for your beliefs. After all, it's Biblical that that will happen at some point or another, to each one of us who decides to take a stand for Christ. In fact, I believe it even says in Matthew (?) that we are to *expect* persecution--otherwise, we're not doing something right. ;)
On the other hand, I know that very same feeling, and it doesn't feel good. Just take comfort in knowing that you have "extended family" (AKA fellow Christians) who are rooting for you and praying for you daily. And I can say, personally, that now that I am aware of this situation with you, I will make it a point to be praying for you, specifically.
I hope your spirits are lifted with all of the encouraging comments you got on here, as well, sweetie. Yes, some of these people have a point when they say that you "shouldn't" base your feelings on what other people think of you. But sometimes that's easier said than done, I know.
If you ever need someone to vent to or just to talk with, shoot me an e-mail and I'd love to start a correspondence with you. :D
May Jesus pour His blessings on you today and every day.

I'm an Agnostic. As such, I believe in freedom of belief. That includes your right to your faith. Anyone who rates you down for expressing your faith is not just being cruel - they're being un-American, because the First Amendment of the Constitution guarantees your right to believe in the creed of any religion you wish.
That is how Agnostics look at it.
Now of course, if you belittle anyone who does not share your faith, that is a different matter. Since anyone you are belittling also has the right to believe whatever they want to believe, you would be compromising their freedom of religion.
Also, in your case you are a Christian - and Jesus never taught such behavior towards non-Christians.
However if you respect everyone else's freedom of belief, you do nothing wrong at all.
If you are truly Christian in the sense that you do not harass anyone who is non-Christian, and are discouraged or hurt by people who rate you down because of your beilefs, remember that true Agnostics will always stand by you.
I am glad that you have found a way to not be sad over this. Not only do you not deserve to be sad, but in being happy you do not let your detractors control you. That is a sign of personal strength and character.
Stay happy and best wishes,
Big Al Mintaka

I think thats good that you have faith. Along with that comes growth too. Eventually you will learn that other peoples opinions of you don't matter.
Jesus never complained. Even the dis-believers, and the people who repeatedly put him down, tortured him, and hung him on the cross. He loved them because he knew that they were all of God's children. Forgive me for I know not of what I do.
Forgive and forget. If someone angers you they rule you. Alot of people that are on this sight are here strictly for entertainment.
Don't look for gold in a coal mine.
I hope I made some sense to you.

You're gonna die if someone gives your answer a thumbs down?
Well, that means you are either 12, or very immature.
One thing you learn as you grow up is that you can't expect everyone to like you. Another thing is that if it hurts to do something, DON"T DO IT!! If you don't like the answers you get on this site you have a few ways to go:
1. Don't ever post any questions or answers again.
2. Accept that not everyone thinks the same as you do and some of what you write will really piss someone off.
3.Learn to post things In a more diplomatic and gentle fashion that explains rather than inflames.
Personally, I am ticked at your question and I would give you a thumbs down if I had the option because it is so self-centered. Poor you!

Don't let people get to you. They don't matter. The people who matter love you (God, your family, friends). Who cares what strangers do on the internet? Don't let it bother you. We all get thumbs down in life but we can't let it affect us. Critics are just bitter people that like to put others down to make themselves feel beter. You have Jesus in your life so be thankful for that! Your faith is worth more than all the thumbs up in the world. Don't let mean bitter people without faith hurt your feelings! Just feel sorry for them!
Don't be grumpy. It's not worth it. If you let them bother you, then they win. Be happy with yourself. You don't need approval from others.
Take care.

Your faith is great and built on a solid rock! To thine own self be true! Not everyone hates you I just read about Elijah in 1 Kings 18 and 19 and the great victory he had with God lighting the fire under a wet offering. And yet afterwards he was discouraged after one woman queen got angry with him. So he ran for his life.. Life happens even to the best of us. Jesus never had it easy with some of his followers or the religious leaders of his area. And He was God in the flesh.
What you are experiencing is normal. Hang in there and enjoy the fellowship of those you are with now in church or family and thank God you have them. Pray for those who aren't so lucky and reach out your hand to help them.

You sound like me when I first started answering questions, people were just down right mean to me, and this one guy said that I can't take offense with them. I realized because they probably have never read the books I have {which I prize myself on, being a big reader}, they have probably never been to the places I have, probably never known the people that I know, they don't get joy out of the simple things in life. Pay these people no mind, they probably get their jollies off by rating you down. You have your faith, you just need to respect other people's faith too and don't treat them like you have been treated. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
For example, I can freely say that I BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST WHO BECAME TRULY HUMAN AND IS TRULY GOD AND DIED FOR MY SINS and no one can stop me. This is the beauty of America; however, this also means that people are entitled to their own opinion. People sometimes are big haters. Don't worry, because in the end, we're all just a bunch of nincompoops without an iota of religion anyways......so cheer up!

For one thing, and im being VERY, VERY realistic, not many people DO care about your feelings, no offense.
One thing you do have to understand is that the world contains bajillions of people, and you shouldnt expect pity from all of them.
HOWEVER, you should also understand that the world is full of bajillions of jerks, who, under the protection of internet, will do what they want without restraint.
BOTTOM LINE: Dont let the ideas of others bother you, especially on the internet. If you want legit advice, ask someone close to you who understand who you are. It is good you have a source of comfort (i.e. faith) that allows you to handle your problems.

Your feelings will not be respected by everyone. People will hate you no mater what you do. The only person you can count on to care about your feelings is you. Also I wouldn't worry about trying to control others opinon of you because you have no power over others, unless you spend a lot of time and effort to change their opinon of you.
