Think of something trivial, something small that ordinarily would seem pointless. Try to imagine a domino effect of something that could change the world that we live in. Explain why you think it might work. I want good quality answers, no generic answers like: give money to the poor, or something like that. both negatives and positives are welcome. notice I said "change the world", not necessarily change it for the good.

Does being polite in a general sense count? I try to be polite to everyone I meet; at the very least, I don't get a backlash. And if enough people see that being polite smooths out most communicative wrinkles and other situations, it could have a domino effect, depending on where and how the polite acts are noticed. It's statistical, isn't it?

I WILL break the cycle. I grew up poor. I am now above average income. I will teach my son how to use his mind to overcome the problems that he will face. He will in turn teach his son and so on and so on. My family name will one day be synonomous with greatness. We will go on to solve many of the world's problems by leading by example and teaching others the value of common sense.
