Interesting topic.
Reality is relative, and depends on your perspective. What you believe as real, is real to you.
In the old days, people believed that the earth was flat, and for them, the reality was that the earth was flat. Until some scientists and explorers proved otherwise, their 'paradigm' was based on the belief that the world is flat.
Also, our perceptions change on the way we feel inside. When we are happy, and enjoying life, the world seems to be full of wonder and excitement, and time seems to go faster. But when we are unhappy, and bogged down by troubles, the world seems to be unkind, bleak, and intolerable, and time seems to go slower.
If a person is influential, that person can persuade others to believe in his personal perspective of the world. And to those who are influenced, they will reinforce eachother with the perspective as the accepted 'reality'. If the perspective is a positive one, then the collective fantasy will be a utopia like vision, and their reality will be a beautiful world filled with wonder and excitement. However, if the perspective is a negative one, then the collective fantasy will be a waste-land like vision, and their reality will be a bleak, barren world filled with terror and suffering. Or, it can be a balanced world.
What you believe strongly, will most likely come true, at least for you. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

"Is the actual way forward for The Universe in any way inspired by means of the state of our collective awareness?" there is no "actual destiny" of the Universe. it relatively isn't any longer changing from what it relatively is Now! into something else. it relatively is one Universe, constituted of many unique wakeful perspectives (Souls, us). "the excellent universe could be defined/defined as a results of fact the sum-finished of all perspectives!" - e book of Fudd The 'phycality' of the Universe is an 'visual attraction', purely like the visual attraction of sunshine and coloration and action and clouds and sky make it seem that there is all that present in some 'accessible'. there is no such element! In front of your nostril (perceptions), there is absolute darkness! there is no 'accessible' accessible! previous your 'ears', absolute silence! however the Universe 'looks' good and 'actual', it relatively is Mindstuff, information, no longer something is relatively extra 'actual' than ideas! And ideas is because it relatively is perceived, without caution! no longer something 'transforming into that', no 'reason and effect', no 'action', no 'time'... Materialism is an out of date philosophy. there is no 'collective awareness', there is 'oneConsciousness'; the floor of all Being (Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics) In an exceedingly actual sense, the Universe IS our collective (perspectives) awareness!!! "the excellent universe could be defined/defined as a results of fact the sum-finished of all perspectives!" - e book of Fudd 'destiny' would not/won't be able to exist different than as a 'particular effect' of a random thought/ego.

You can't affect physical reality with just a fantasy by itself, or even a whole lot of fantasies by themselves. So: To no extent.

somebody has said that the physical world around us is just a manifastation of our thought pattern.
You CAN change the physical world around you with just your thoughts. I mean you can not create a building in sky. But you can heal yourself of some illness if you just keep thinking of being healthy. Your conscious mind can't make things happen. The trick is to trick your subconscious by thinking of the accomplishment of the end result.

take a look around. Everything humanity has created was a thought first. It was all a fantasy people wondering what is on the other side of the ocean? what is on the other side of the mountain? what is in space? I don't think there is a limit to how much our fantasy can effect our reality.

*laughing*. Physical reality? Gravity is gravity. If you hop off of a 69 story building, wishing isn't going to change that, you are going to fall to your death. If 10,000 people "fantasize" or "wish" it to be different, that nature isn't going to contradict itself and you aren't magically going to be spared.
