The "Tree of Life" is depicted at the Alrwas Arboretum memorial site near Burton on Trent very graphically, with different coloured leaves, the colours and styles of these leaves are generally believed to have a deeper meaning, can anyone tell me what it is ?

Father
By: Seairra Goettler

Despair is scattered
throughout my life
like confetti gently
tossed with care
because of your
accusations

I hated you for under-
estimating me
I hated you for
calling me names
I hated you for the
way you have treated me

When you see me,
you don’t know what I am
thinking
I sit as quiet as a
mouse, saying to myself, “ he has ruined
my life, he created a
false atmosphere of hope

We have lived together
So long, the anger and hatred
has built up inside
and I can’t take it anymore
im trying to find ways
to control the anger,
but I cant

Sometimes when I say
“I love you,”
I don’t mean it
I do it just to get away
from the pain of you yelling

Now we are
growing apart
the strength of happiness
and love fading into
the darkness, as a deer
walks of into the night

Inside I really do love you
but what prevents me from
showing it is the stress

The stress of knowing
you might die soon
The stress of having
to care for my brothers
and sisters
The stress of having
to worry what we will
do without you

I don’t want to leave high school
knowing you wont be here
to watch me grow up
I want to love life and live
life with you
forever and always
